pmccarthy
Kevin Johnson had many great but underappreciated songs. I have them on LP, one of the reasons I still have a turntable.

Columbo
I love the music of Tina Arena. Her singing makes my soul soar. She is true artistic brilliance.

Columbo
This is my favourite Tina Arena song, and probably song in general.
onetrack
In the current aura of highly-charged divisiveness, I think we all need to listen to this song and its words. https://en-gb.facebook.com/JasonWood.updates/videos/we-are-one-i-am-australian-the-seekers-farewell-performance/568739915267838/ 1
spacesailor
If the " voice " gets to fruition, those words will have to be changed. ' I am but you're not Australian ' . 'we were one but now we are two ' . We were Australian. spacesailor 1
facthunter
Would any racists vote YES. Plenty if not all, will vote NO. NOTE I did not say all who vote NO are racist. I could not agree with you LESS, spacey.. IF it FAILS, after Tomorrow the Rest of the World will view us less favourably and our right to criticise others will evaporate. There will probably be a bit of that. People in countries that have a race biased constitution will probably have some moral credit to critisise us for not having the same, but people in countries that don't have a race biased constitution would be a bit hypocritical to critisise us for being the same as them. I think most critisism would be on an individual level and not on a governmental level.

old man emu
OK. It's a band that comes from England, but the whole World to it to its heart. And now their last song,
Jerry_Atrick
I heard it last night on triple-M driving home from London. It is a nice song; although I liked the Beatles when I was younger, it wasn't quite my style. However, the amount of people that phoned the station to say they had to stop their car and wipe a tear from their eye really did suprise me. They didn't sound terribly old, either; definitely not like they were teens in the 60s and early 70s. I think what really amazed me was that people feel the need to call a random person at a radio station to express their throughts on a song. (Mind you, whenever I post a video here, I guess I am doing the same.. but it is also a bookmark so I don't lose them). Now, speaking of which, here is one that I had forgotten about - a little heavy....
Jerry_Atrick
I think the world could well do to listen to this track.. Wasn't may fave when I was a lad (and these fellas were one of the bigger bands when I was a lad), but how poignant this song is today: p.s. I lnow most, if any on here, would like it.. but listen to the lyrics... It is as if the world has forgot...
