I do see them as a mode of transport but some of them would piss me off mightily in a short time. The heavy steering with a lot of bump sensitivity. Crap brakes, wheel shimmy. One way shocks on corrugated roads lots of unsprung weight. Heavy shuddering clutches. 6 volt electrics . Lot's of Body roll when cornering No crash resistant steering wheels or Panels and so on. They don't make them like they used to and I'm glad of that. Nev

People Have very different expectations for the Bike they choose. Personally I don't like an engine speed clutch (Clunky gear changes) or a Motor that rotates about the fore-Aft axis. (Gyroscopics) and I'm NOT wrapped in shaft drive or expensive plastic covers that Have to come off to get at everything. Four cylinder in line often have tingly annoying vibration Periods.. Some engines cook you when at lights or slow speeds in traffic. Some bikes are heavier than necessary and are too high in the seat for smaller people. Watch spares costs. Some Makes are outrageous and the Parts not in stock. Nev

When you get back into some of these cars you lusted after in a Past age you realise how far we have come with modern cars and they are relatively Cheaper as well., Nev
