The climate change debate continues.
facthunter replied to Phil Perry's topic in Science and Technology
We mine a lot of things we don't just Burn for energy. Look up the tonnage of CO2 various Countries produce and wonder where all that can go without changing things There's a lot of sulphur in the crude as well. It make s sulphuric acid when burned and water added. Water is also a product of combusting Hydrocarbons so even in a desert acid is Made when you drive an ICE vehicle with sulphur in the fuel... It's more a fact of Larger Countries having a large enough home Market to support mass production and the Low unit cost THAT offers. It's often Materials Plus a figure MUCH less than the Materials. Robots and CNC machines with computers can operate in a lot of Places.. Factories in China are as big as Towns. IF Trump went there, He'd have a fit once he saw it..Nev

You are a very Patient person Octave and put a lot of effort into correcting erroneous figures and statements, There's a hell of a lot of deliberate Misinformation out there so we ALL should put a more critical eye on stuff from dubious sources for Nefarious Reasons . You have consistently done this for a Long time and I thank you greatly for your efforts. Nev

I think we are at cross purposes. It has it's uses and searching seems to be one of them. I don't want it Imitating/enhancing reality and Being substituted/offered AS reality in an attempt to Misrepresent the TRUTH. . Nev -
IF you are referring to ME I stand by my questions which were not at any stage addressed. There's enough Misinformation out there to tolerate without it being deliberately Published HERE... I will call it out any time it Happens . It's easily fixed. Stop doing it and calling people you don't Like, Lefties. I cop that one all the time. . Nev

Wasn't it Einstein who said it's the worst way ever to boil wate. It Needs a Lot of cooling as well. Doesn't that Heat add to the Problem.? Your dismissal of the dangers of the waste is wrong. It's a World wide problem. it's About the COST if the other Matters don't sway you. Nev -

Language allows us to express ourselves and communicate. Intelligence is how well you Process information. Intelligence is not the same as knowledge. Knowledge is acquired. Nev -
Lousy source of information, Brendan. Nev

Anyhow the thread title includes the Word IMPACT. Doesn't that imply damage? Remember how the Snowy scheme was built and the railway through the American Rocky Mountains . Nev

In Australia when referring to the ones before us they use the Plural NATIONS. They have different Languages like PNG but the total Population was never that High.. Their Impact on the Land was fairly Minimal IF you ignore Burning off. I wonder if given the Option Todays indigenous People would like to give up all the advantages of a Modern society . Like airconditioning Bridges Roads Hospitals Airtravel Roof over your Head. Cars to drive. Money from the gov't and an education. etc.Nev

Traditional would vary across Australia depending on geographical factors. There were Salt water Aborigines etc. and as the climate changed desert areas, they Migrated or changed because of it. eg Harvested plant seeds and carried water from Known water sources. shown on Paintings.. Nev
