red750
Not quite like this, though. Rego prefix PP- which is Botswana according to Wikipedia. He won't last long if he keeps this up. Crazy helicopter landing .

facthunter
Boredom often makes people do those extreme things. Helicopters don't crash in a very dignified way. Nev Edited September 7, 2022 by facthunter
Bruce Tuncks
Once I read that helicopters don't really fly... They are so ugly that the ground repels them. 2
spacesailor
The only aircraft I haven,t flown in is a ' helicopter ' . Has anyone here got one to let me record ' flight in all types ' . Any one flown a ' gyro-glider ' !. Great fun tied to the rear of a Big Ford, at Baggeries Creek . spacesailor
onetrack
I've ridden in Hueys in Vietnam and R44's here. I like choppers, the sensation of barely moving in the Huey at about 90kts and 5000', was something I didn't expect.
octave
I have only ever flown in one helicopter Chinook when I was in the RAAF Band. We flew from Williamtown to Richmond. They opened the rear ramp in flight and I got to sit on the edge (with a safety harness of course)
facthunter
That's because at 90 knots at 5000 ft in anything you feel as though you are hardly moving. You are nearly a mile up. They were called "Crazy Palm Trees" in New Guinea. Too many things to go wrong that you need to be right.
