onetrack Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I always like Billy Connellys comment about toilets. "Once you reach 65, never, ever, go past any toilet". 2
spacesailor Posted Friday at 05:50 AM Posted Friday at 05:50 AM My gripe !. The whinging commuter's have had Tuck's Rd " shut off " from Fitzwilliam Rd. After their complaints of being held up , while allowing Tucks rd residents to get out. Only one access to the whole community. spacesailor 1 1

facthunter Posted Friday at 11:26 PM Posted Friday at 11:26 PM You do after all, LIVE in Sydney's WESTERN SUBURBS. Not a place of high Gov't spending Priority. Is the TRAIN an alternative? Nev 1
spacesailor Posted Saturday at 04:18 AM Posted Saturday at 04:18 AM Yes ! . Public transport ! . I had an " opal " card . used it last year now my money's gone & I have a nice new-one . Just have to put more money in . Then hopefully it will not be stolen by the operators. It did feature on TV news , that's why I & my other half checked . Their words 'blocked ' . But we still are expected to pay again . KEEP CASH . OR KEEP FEEDING THE CARD. spacesailor 1
facthunter Posted Saturday at 04:28 AM Posted Saturday at 04:28 AM O Hell Mate, why is it ALL SO depressing in your Life? The OPAL system in NSW is the BEST deal in the Country. Nev 1

According to the Opal site, this happens after 5 years of non-use. In any case, registering your card would prevent this. My Myki card is on my phone and connected to an account. When the balance falls below $10, it is automatically topped up. I don't even have to think about it 1
red750 Posted Saturday at 06:53 AM Posted Saturday at 06:53 AM I don't use public transport. 2017 Avalon Airshow was the last time I used a train. Public transport doesn't go anywhere near where I travel. Haven't been near the CBD since pre Covid. Should I choose to, next year, as a pensioner, my travel will be free on weekends. 1
spacesailor Posted Saturday at 09:43 AM Posted Saturday at 09:43 AM I find the public transport is a long & tedious route. and not anywhere comfortable. The end of a plus , forty minute trip, will leave you with a twenty minute walk , to your destination. But that car trip can " drop-off " outside your destination, only leaving a half hour finding A vacant parking space . LoL spacesailor 1
pmccarthy Posted Saturday at 10:08 AM Posted Saturday at 10:08 AM If you have a continence problem, public transport is an added risk. 1
spacesailor Posted Saturday at 10:21 AM Posted Saturday at 10:21 AM As the lady with her I continence pants on " you just smile " as others cross their legs . spacesailor 1
red750 Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Our NBN is up and down like a bride's nightie. You'll be working on posting and you'll get "No internet". It will be out for 5 to 15 minutes then come back on again. It was as slow as a wet week over the weekend. They were working on an upgrade on Friday, and are back again today. Playing havoc with my son working from home. He has had to resort to using the personal hotspot on his mobile phone. 1
red750 Posted yesterday at 02:20 AM Posted yesterday at 02:20 AM Normally I would be at the Shed today. Got there today and the carpark was empty. Checked my phone and saw that the Co-ordinator had sent a text after I went to bed saying the Shed would be closed. He's been having a lot of flu problems. I turn my phone off completely overnight or it has less than 10% battery left in the morning. Didn't get the text till I was at the Shed. 1
