My gripe !.

The whinging commuter's have had Tuck's Rd " shut off " from Fitzwilliam Rd.

After their complaints of being held up , while allowing Tucks rd residents to get out. 

Only one access to the whole community.

Public transport  ! .

I had an " opal  " card . used it last year now my money's gone & I have a nice new-one .

Just have to put more money in .

Then hopefully it will not be stolen by the operators. 

It did feature on TV news  ,  that's why I & my other half checked .

Their words 'blocked ' . But we still are expected to pay  again .

KEEP CASH .

According to the Opal site, this happens after 5 years of non-use. In any case, registering your card would prevent this.  My Myki card is on my phone and connected to an account. When the balance falls below $10, it is automatically topped up. I don't even have to think about it

I don't use public transport. 2017 Avalon Airshow was the last time I used a train. Public transport doesn't go anywhere near where I travel. Haven't been near the CBD since pre Covid.

 

Should I choose to, next year, as a pensioner, my travel will be free on weekends.

I find the public transport is a long & tedious route. and not anywhere comfortable. 

The end of a plus , forty minute trip,  will leave you with a twenty  minute walk , to your destination. 

But that car trip can " drop-off " outside your destination,  only leaving a half hour finding 

A vacant parking space . LoL

Our NBN is up and down like a bride's nightie. You'll be working on posting and you'll get "No internet". It will be out for 5 to 15 minutes then come back on again. It was as slow as a wet week over the weekend. They were working on an upgrade on Friday, and are back again today.  Playing havoc with my son working from home. He has had to resort to using the personal hotspot on his mobile phone.

Normally I would be at the Shed today. Got there today and the carpark was empty. Checked my phone and saw that the Co-ordinator had sent a text after I went to bed saying the Shed would be closed. He's been having a lot of flu problems. I turn my phone off completely overnight or it has less than 10% battery left in the morning. Didn't get the text till I was at the Shed.
