onetrack Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I always like Billy Connellys comment about toilets. "Once you reach 65, never, ever, go past any toilet". 2
spacesailor Posted yesterday at 05:50 AM Posted yesterday at 05:50 AM My gripe !. The whinging commuter's have had Tuck's Rd " shut off " from Fitzwilliam Rd. After their complaints of being held up , while allowing Tucks rd residents to get out. Only one access to the whole community. spacesailor 1 1

facthunter Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago You do after all, LIVE in Sydney's WESTERN SUBURBS. Not a place of high Gov't spending Priority. Is the TRAIN an alternative? Nev 1
spacesailor Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Yes ! . Public transport ! . I had an " opal " card . used it last year now my money's gone & I have a nice new-one . Just have to put more money in . Then hopefully it will not be stolen by the operators. It did feature on TV news , that's why I & my other half checked . Their words 'blocked ' . But we still are expected to pay again . KEEP CASH . OR KEEP FEEDING THE CARD. spacesailor
facthunter Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago O Hell Mate, why is it ALL SO depressing in your Life? The OPAL system in NSW is the BEST deal in the Country. Nev

According to the Opal site, this happens after 5 years of non-use. In any case, registering your card would prevent this. My Myki card is on my phone and connected to an account. When the balance falls below $10, it is automatically topped up. I don't even have to think about it
red750 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I don't use public transport. 2017 Avalon Airshow was the last time I used a train. Public transport doesn't go anywhere near where I travel. Haven't been near the CBD since pre Covid. Should I choose to, next year, as a pensioner, my travel will be free on weekends.
spacesailor Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I find the public transport is a long & tedious route. and not anywhere comfortable. The end of a plus , forty minute trip, will leave you with a twenty minute walk , to your destination. But that car trip can " drop-off " outside your destination, only leaving a half hour finding A vacant parking space . LoL spacesailor
pmccarthy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If you have a continence problem, public transport is an added risk.
spacesailor Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As the lady with her I continence pants on " you just smile " as others cross their legs . spacesailor
