Mythical creatures - or are they?

Back to the thread topic. Kilcoy in S.E. Queensland is a famous Yowie town. Others have a big banana, a big cow or big pineapple, but Kilcoy has Yowie Park with it's Yowie statue. The original statue was put there in 1980; it was made of wood with a large circumcised penis. It's pecker was vandalised and chopped off a few times over the years. The local council must have commissioned a wood carver to replace the missing wizzer when necessary, or maybe they had a box of spares. I used to travel through there a few times a year, and sometimes the Yowie had a pecker, sometimes not.

The statue eventually deteriorated and was replaced by another wooden statue in 1998, gender neutral this time. Due to age and weather, it eventually went the way of the original Yowie and was replaced by a fibreglass sculpture in 2018. This is the current Yowie:

Three guys went hiking in the woods. As the sun was setting, they set up their camp, pitching tents and lighting a fire. While they were having their evening meal, a bigfoot came out of the woods and walked right up to them. He went past their fire, up to the cooler. He opened the cooler, took out a beer, opened the can, and downed the beverage. Then he turned to the terrified hikers and said,

"No-one will believe you when you tell them about this", then walked back into the woods.
