You don't buy steak at ColesWorth. Salamanca Fresh (local small greengrocer/butcher chain) has it for $42.90/kg and it'd be better than anything thru the big chains. Quite often on special too so around $30/kg. I can't see a market for the US shit.

Damn stupid idea (awkers). Look at warfare in Ukraine. Drones, drones, drones. Air sea and land. By the time we get these things (if we ever do) they'll be obsolete and outclassed by cheap underwater drones. Plus the thought of paying anything to the Mafia in charge of the disunited states really irks me.

It's not fair for someone earning $30k to pay the same rate of tax as someone earning $30m. (Not that the latter actually pays tax, they use every available method to minimize what they pay). The tax scale should be progressive, but keep increasing not top out at whatever it is now.

I've got a 17yo son and a 15yo son. Neither of them are "brainless", in fact I think they may be smarter than me. Look at the general population. There's 40yo's out there that you wouldn't trust to mop a floor. Old folks who don't know what century it is. People with ideas so weird you don't know how they manage to feed themselves. But all these people get to vote. I don't have a problem lowering the voting age, but it's not on the agenda here, as far as I know.

If you take replace "16 year-old" with "punter" in your first paragraph, the answer would be the same. 16yo's are probably more aware of political impacts on their future than current voters.
