I saw on Channel 2 the other day a story aboout a guy in Brisbane who is developing a generator for powering the home which is powered by an electric motor - the electricity it generates itself. The generator produces 4 or 5 times the power required to run the motor, the rest is available to power the house. I have no further details or references, other than, I think they said, the guy was involved in developing the Triton Work Bench.

I call BS on that. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only change from one form to another, or move from a system to its surroundings. This means the total amount of energy in an isolated system always stays the same. The simplest practical example of converting one form of energy to another is solar panels.

Wtf?

Sounds like a free energy machine and this absolutely bullshit.

Physics doesn't care what peeps believe.
