Pilot John Gregory crashed into the tree near McCall, Idaho, in April 2019, when he was attempting a forced landing in a nearby field. He was uninjured, and was rescued by a volunteer firefighter who also owns a tree removal business. That'd be some rescue!

Tree removal was not needed. Leave the tree, remove the plane!

Knowing Americans, I must say I'm surprised they didn't just cut down the tree, complete with the aircraft and pilot still in it, to recover him!

To be fair, most Americans I have met are really nice and quite resourceful.
