old man emu Posted Tuesday at 06:14 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:14 AM It would be great if we could go back to the days when Trade Unions worked towards the betterment of their members. Luckily the Unions wrested a lot of benefits from Big Business which remain in place today. If anyone wants to bag Unions to me, I'll simply ask them if they would be prepared to go back to a 48 hour week, bugger-all holiday leave, no paid sick leave etc. It amazes me that the people in business and politics who always scream that any improvement in the conditions of people who work will destroy the economy, are quite happy to avail themselves of those Union-won benefits. Would you really like to live in a system where there is no job security; no liveable basic wage and no economic protection in the event of illness or injury? If you would like that, then there is a number of flights from Australia to the USA each day. 1 1 1
facthunter Posted Tuesday at 06:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:30 AM Go and live in a Country where trade Unions are Not allowed and you will have dangerous Practices and something like Slavery .Your pilot will load the fuel the Company tells him is enough, even though By Law it's the PIC's call. It becomes Known that carrying extra fuel means you don't come Monday. Nothing is Put in writing of course. It's similar with Not agreeing to carry unserviceability's when creepy crawley other pilots will to gain Promotion with Shady Operators. Same with extending Hours, or not having the required rest between tours of duty. Nev 1 1 1

onetrack Posted Tuesday at 06:34 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:34 AM I couldn't see Gina fitting into the back of a 172!! 1 1

willedoo Posted Tuesday at 06:49 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:49 AM (edited) I looked it up, Kidmans own this one. It matches Pauline's hair. Edited Tuesday at 06:49 AM by willedoo 1
facthunter Posted Tuesday at 06:50 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:50 AM The aircraft Perilous Pauline used to fly around in was Piloted by James Ashby and was a JABIRU donated by someone and I think was registered with the RAAus Itwas decorated with Her Partys Name and ther shold be Plenty of Images of it around. Now being Bankrolled with Gina's 37 $Billion dollars she will have gone up in the world somewhat They BOTH had an Invite to Mar A Leggo a while back and she's a great admirer of DJ Trump and Merdock is promoting her like there's no tomorrow so Maybe Gina's got something to do with thatn Gina's tried political activity Before when she Bought Influence in a Newspaper on the advice of so called Lord Monkton the anti climate change activist at the time who she employed as an advisor. Nothing to worry about with P. (MUCH) Plenty of AI crap coming out as well. It makes Perilous look like a Miss Universe so be on the lookout. You might like to hang it on the back of the toilet door.. Nev 1
facthunter Posted Tuesday at 06:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:58 AM Lang Hancock found the Iron ore with a Cessna 172. He's never had One good word to say about Gorgeous Gina.' and He's her father. I really don't want someone like HER having a lot of say about HOW this Country is Governed, thank you very Much. Nev 1 2
willedoo Posted Tuesday at 07:08 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:08 AM It will be interesting on Saturday night to see how One Nation goes in South Australia. Despite all the talk, I don't think they're confident of picking up any lower house seats. As a consolation, if they get a good primary vote and fall short on preferences, it would be a financial windfall for them under SA's new electoral laws considering they're running candidates in every seat. 1

pmccarthy Posted Tuesday at 09:15 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:15 AM I think Lang had an Auster. I have seen it. 1
Marty_d Posted yesterday at 07:45 AM Posted yesterday at 07:45 AM Interesting talk on Late Night Live about Pauline. I can't see how to get a link to it but if you go to ABC.net.au/listen and click on Radio National, it's one of the top picks. 1 1 2
facthunter Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago One of the People at the Men's shed has that very Plane. It is a bit different to the commonly seen Austers. It's flying . Nev 1 1
red750 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I have an email mate I 'met' a few years ago through the old Men's Shed Online, which no longer exists. He is a poet, and goes by the name of Bunyip Brown. He sent me this (non rhyming) poem today which might resonate with a few of you. It's Political, Stupid ! By Bunyip Brown 20 March 2026. #679 Our world is changing from what we knew in the past The rules from yesteryear now need casting aside Previous past leaders couldn't read the barometer Like Howard and his ilk, they couldn't estimate the future. They let things drift along, "She'll be right" no worries Our leaders yet, unable to comprehend our nation's needs None of them unable to understand our tenuous grip on reality While inside our world, we citizens are becoming irrelevant. For yonks we haven't spawned a capable and visioned leader For this aberration we have to blame our democratic system We select career politicians with a three year game cycle And some of 'em come to administer with no brains at all ! Whilst we muddle along, we see ourselves as big and strong But all around us, the world is changing dramatically We are slow to react, seems our leadership cannot spell proactive We must accept the changes thrust upon us - and that stinks ! If I think we are progressing as a nation, I delude myself We invent something worthy but we won't get behind it Overseas buyers buy the rights and take it away, its cruel Guess we'll just have to be happy being the world's biggest quarry !
facthunter Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Gina Says it's only DIRT before 'WE dig it up' and when Prices are LOW, we DIG up more. Trouble IS you can only dig up each bit ONCE and it's not really Gina's to sell. and all resources are finite. Mining has kept Australia in the Game but surely we could do this better. Rinehart is funding PHON and Why is Murdoch SO in love with Pauline.? There's never been anything but PRAISE for Her. Not one Probing Question. A steady Hand in todays troubled times is preferred to a superstar God Emperor and a functioning team has more resources. Just what is Hansons IQ and Education Back ground AND Who is she doing this for FOR? I'll bet London to a brick on It's NOT for US. Trump is her choice to Pattern her Politics on. What could Possibly be worse than that and if all that crazy collection of Failures and Misfits get along together. it would be a MIRACLE. Nev
Marty_d Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago PHON has a habit of imploding because they don't care how dodgy their candidates are. Their pick for Adelaide just got quietly removed as he has an arrest warrant in the UK... 1
facthunter Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago Made to fail.. She's very Much Ahead of Herself. You need to VET your candidates Carefully or there will be no end of Pain.
