onetrack Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Unfortunately, despite all your anti-renewables bashing, the pace of solar, grid battery and wind turbine installation is only getting faster each day. And perhaps surprisingly for some, the big miners are in the forefront of installing renewables for power for their mining operations. The chances of installing NP in Australia recede daily, and first off, the NP promoters have to overcome the resistance of the majority of the population, who don't see it as viable or economic - and there are multiple State laws in place, against Uranium mining, that would need to be rescinded as well, is NP was to proceed. https://thewest.com.au/business/mining/andrew-forrests-fortescue-inks-green-energy-supply-deals-with-chinas-byd-longi-envision-and-xcmg-c-20146954 The biggest single renewable energy resource that is sneaking up on energy planners, is the amount of rooftop solar on homes, which is approaching double the energy generation that is planned for grid installation. The simple solution is to harness that massive level of solar energy being produced, that is often under-utilised during the day, when homeowners are at work. To that end, efforts to install grid-scale batteries and home batteries are to be applauded. Add in EV's, which are increasing in numbers steadily, and whose electrical storage can only add to the available energy sources, thereby meaning the energy sources available can only continue to increase. old man emu Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Will someone rescue Albo from this thread drift? 1 1
red750 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 He's planning to add new seats in the lower house and Senate to bolster his numbers. However One Nation is gaining lots of new supporters.
Grumpy Old Nasho Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Albo let the wives and kids of Islamic terrorists back in, quietly let them return from the ISIS killing grounds. I could never vote for a party that does something stupid like that.
facthunter Posted Sunday at 12:46 AM Posted Sunday at 12:46 AM Yeah. There's a "Terrorism" Gene GON. and red, How does upping the total Numbers Increase your Percentage? Meanwhile the Libs continue to destroy THEMSELVES. They get PHON Preferences anyhow. Paulene Plays the racist Card effectively, just changing WHICH race this time and Loves TRUMP and GUNS. Gets enough money from first preference votes to stay in Business. She's a Queensland phenomenon, like BIG Clive. Nev 1
Popular Post ClintonB Posted Sunday at 02:29 AM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 02:29 AM I don’t think there is a terrorism gene, but there is a lot of hatred and belief in martyrdom amount some groups of people. I saw a reporter one time interviewing kids in Palestine, asking them during a street soccer game would they play with kids from the other side. Their answers were unanimous that no they would kill them violently given the chance. What hope for peace is there when this shit keeps going on. Racism in our own country is a bit like this (without the extreme violence part), I come across a lot of older people who hate black fellas for no other reason than they were taught to. Younger people seem to be a bit more accepting of different people and cultures. If all the shite in other countries that people escape from was left there and we all just treated each other with a bit of respect as a society it would be a good outcome. 2 2 1
facthunter Posted Sunday at 03:41 AM Posted Sunday at 03:41 AM Neither do I think there is a terrorism Gene. HATE is a learned/ Indoctrination thing. Anyone different. TRUMP uses IT to divide America.. Nev 2
