onetrack Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I won't use any voice assistant, because I reckon the Big Brother companies of the Internet world, would try to record you at every opportunity, even if you do have microphones switched off. I reckon it would take very little to activate a switched off microphone.

ClintonB Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I put my old Samsung into developer mode, using a YouTube video. It stopped all sensors and recording, listening from happening. Only pain was to take. Picture or use functions you had to approve every time. i did it after reading no matter what your privacy settings are on, it can determine where you are by matching with other people’s phones, ie riding on a train or bus etc. It might be time to do so again. I don’t think any of us signed up to be spied on, or at least didn’t read the user agreement and just ticked the box. 1 1

onetrack Posted Sunday at 01:32 PM Posted Sunday at 01:32 PM The poor bugger has had Parkinsons since 2018, it's gradually slowing him down. But they say you die with Parkinsons, rarely from it. Loss of balance and falls are the greatest risk, especially with advanced age. 2
