onetrack Posted Monday at 06:01 AM Posted Monday at 06:01 AM I won't use any voice assistant, because I reckon the Big Brother companies of the Internet world, would try to record you at every opportunity, even if you do have microphones switched off. I reckon it would take very little to activate a switched off microphone.
pmccarthy Posted Monday at 07:15 AM Posted Monday at 07:15 AM I had a conversation in someone else's house a couple of weeks ago. Phone was in my pocket. Then I started getting ads about the topic discussed. 1

ClintonB Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I put my old Samsung into developer mode, using a YouTube video. It stopped all sensors and recording, listening from happening. Only pain was to take. Picture or use functions you had to approve every time. i did it after reading no matter what your privacy settings are on, it can determine where you are by matching with other people’s phones, ie riding on a train or bus etc. It might be time to do so again. I don’t think any of us signed up to be spied on, or at least didn’t read the user agreement and just ticked the box. 1 1
