Jerry_Atrick Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM We have had a similar system implemented in the UK for a few years now (can't even remember how long). I recall an alarm going off on my phone I don't recall too much fanfare in the lead up to it to be honest. I found it quite amusing how the press were making a big deal about in in Australia... There were some issuing health warnings about it, Of course,, I didn't get it while back here, but I guess it was a not much in the press period.
red750 Posted yesterday at 07:44 AM Posted yesterday at 07:44 AM I was at the Men's Shed and 5 or 6 phones all went off at the same time. Different alarm sounds. 1
Marty_d Posted yesterday at 07:45 AM Posted yesterday at 07:45 AM I was working from home, my phone didn't get the alarm. 2
facthunter Posted yesterday at 07:58 AM Posted yesterday at 07:58 AM No one I know Mentioned it. Men's shed tomorrow. I'll ask there. They did something like this over 20 years ago. I was randomly selected to be on the group in the MT Macedon area that formulated various aspects of it. The idea has Merit.. I support the idea of doing such things. It's acting responsibly. pmccarthy Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago How many songs do you know? I think I know thousand of tunes and lyrics. Not as a performer, just to sing along with the radio. For example, I must know half of the top fifty between 1950 and 1980. That is 40 years of 25 songs, 1000 just there.
rgmwa Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I know a lot of tunes when I hear them but can only ever remember the odd lyric here and there. I’m always amazed how some people can remember every word of dozens or hundreds of songs.
