I 'can ' learn to fly . spacesailor PS. : who do we know in Serpentin ( WA ? ) . Nice looking plane. Still got 3 days on the auction and there's usually a reserve on things like this, plus a huge buyer's premium to the auction company. https://www.slatteryauctions.com.au/asset?consignmentNo=1-4-1-015614
spacesailor Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) The last I saw sold/sale was$49.999 in WA . With very little information provided, not even if current rego, it was' registe4ed for sale ' . Up to about $ 1500 now . spacesailor Edited May 2 by spacesailor Missed a word
onetrack Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Spacey, forget about acquiring a Storch for a low price, Slatterys are as devious as all the other auctioneers, they fail to advise the item has a reserved price, and they will keep auctioning it month after month, until they get what they want for it. Either that, or they will flush out the bidders and then call them, and try to get them to pay the reserve price.
pmccarthy Posted May 2 Posted May 2 If it is an LSA then any repairs that need parts may be a problem, Fly Synthesis no longer exists. 1 1
nomadpete Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Random thought for today.... I just flew back from Lord Howe Island on a Dash 8. What random thoughts possessed them to name the aircraft "Woodhen" after a flightless, ground dwelling bird? 1 2
facthunter Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I for one "Woodhen " Know for sure, but being Flightless it's likely to belong there. NZeders are known as KIWIS. Nev 1
red750 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 There have been thousands of reports of how so many Americans are turnip heads, starting with their election of the orange buffoon. I've just been looking at one of the miriad of riddles posted on FB. The question was "What state has only one syllable?" Of course, the answer is Maine. But one intellectual replied Arkansas, while another answered "All of them - they are solid states. No gas or liquid." There is no hope. 1 1
facthunter Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) Trump wants them to be even LESS educated. The STATE of America is "Flawed Government". At Least that person knew there were only 3 states that Matter can exist in. Nev Edited May 4 by facthunter 1 1
old man emu Posted May 4 Posted May 4 There are four States of Matter. Plasma is a state of matter characterized by charged particles, often described as the fourth state of matter after solid, liquid, and gas. 1

old man emu Posted May 4 Posted May 4 And there's research into the creation of the 51st State, if that matters. 1
nomadpete Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Don't forget the planned 53rd state.... Pine Gap (after Canadia & Greenishland) 1
pmccarthy Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I have been driving this hire car for more than a month and find it easy to remember the number plate. Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm started their collaboration in, I think, 1927. I wish it had been 1924! 3 1
red750 Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM I don't know if this is of any interest to you but this post was typed, if you'll pardon the expression, by voice communication using the Microsoft voice typing function. This is activated by holding down the Windows key and pressing H. A small drop down menu appears on the top. If you click on the. gear symbol, this gives you a couple of options to set such as automatic punctuation. Then press the microphone to start recording. Proof read the text, as you may need to make some corrections, but it could save a lot of typing. 1 3

old man emu Posted yesterday at 03:59 AM Posted yesterday at 03:59 AM What about a Rotabuggy? This was an eqrly 1940s British idea for the delivery of ground transport vehicles to paratroops. The vehicle is the standard Jeep to which is fitted a rear fuselage and an unpowered rotary wing. Only one prototype was made and flown. Being a new aircraft, it had to get bugs ironed out. During the time that the bugs were being dealt with, troop carrying gliders were developed, which could carry a Jeep internally. So the one and only Rotabuggy was put away and forgotten about. 1
spacesailor Posted yesterday at 10:21 AM Posted yesterday at 10:21 AM If thar" jeep " has an " autogyro " rotor . What keeps it airborne. ( when the wheel are off the ground ). Right ! , another jeep tow's it aloft. LoL spacesailor
onetrack Posted yesterday at 01:24 PM Posted yesterday at 01:24 PM If the F.R. Simms Motor Scout had a 1.5HP petrol engine, why did it have pedals?
