Which day in January in Southern Tassie, is Summer, nomadpete? 😄

My Scottish mother (from Dunfermline) told us her brother always quipped, that "Summer was on Wednesday last year, wasn't it?"  😄

Early summer is always Unstable in Melbourne as the average Temperature is on the Increase. Autumn is the direct opposite, stable little wind. It won't be long before you will be wishing for a cool day. Darwins temp Must be the least variable in the Country. Average about 33 c. max  daily temp.  IT  has only a WET and a DRY season. Nev

Not looking forward to being under the metal roof at the shed tomorrow. The thunderous rain on the roof on Monday made talking near impossible. Tomorrow will be fine and 34°.

Consider yourself lucky that you do have rain. The paddocks around my place are bare because there has been no useful rain. Downpours from storm cells don't cut it. I'm lucky that I have a bore for a regular water supply, and a small rainwater storage for drinking water. A neighbour has just had to truck in water for domestic use.

After a lot of rain I spent two days in the garden, pulling weeds and trimming edges. Then today it was windy and a large branch fell across the garden right where I had been working. Chainsaw today and tomorrow.

As I sit here  at 4:30pm, my desktop weather meter says it's 40.5C and 17% RH. Wind is gusting to about 35 kts. The radar shows  a frontal band of rain approaching, but I bet it will slip away to the southeast before a drop falls on me. This weather, especially the constant days of strong winds, is not normal. At this time of year the winds should be calm and the temperature in the low 30Cs.

Maybe you should send a stern letter to BOM?

Well. The aforementioned frontal band of rain arrived; pissed down rain for a few minutes, and pissed off. Not even a puddle in an ant lion's hole. image.jpeg.6db24c89f83c5929ea8f73cb4424bec2.jpeg

The temperature dropped, but it felt very humid. The could is moving to teh northeast, so I suppose the NSW Nortehrn Rivers area will cop thunderstorms tonight.
