  2. A lot of that stuff is recyclable. You could never have enough trees to absorb the CO2 from the atmosphere that we unleash at the rate we do. IC engines are around 30% efficient. Electric is above 90%. and IS regenerative when slowing down or going down hills. Transmission losses would be less also and when not needed that energy making them and the IC . engine is non existent. Nev
  3. You can select out of the engine stop function. I've not heard of starter motor problems. I presume they are designed for the life they do.. The motor starts instantly. Quicker than your foot can get from the brake pedal to the accelerator. .It's for cities in Europe . Not the Adelaide hills. Nev

  8. BMW 's steer and drive great. What a car turns into depends on who services it after abut 5 years. I used to get BMW (motorbike for my spouses SCARVER" PARTS from Chattanooga. USA. I think mid 70s two door coupes would be very collectable actually.. Get the sulphur out of diesel that's the Main thing. EGR reduces fuel efficiency but cuts NOx emissions. Which do you prioritize? Maybe DPF can be added? You won't get a full sized van down to 6 L/100 kms. The best petrol engines are diesel equal as far as fuel economy goes.. Perhaps the exhaust heat could be better utilised? Nev
