I cannot get my head around a V12 outboard motor. It must take some serious engineering to make a transom strong enough to support it without ripping the back off the boat!

Anyway a bit of trivia -

 

Those v12 motors have just stopped production in USA. The cost of specialised alloys has gone 'astronomical' due to recent tariffs. Locally produced alloys were not up to standard.

Oh Yes! - It must be great, being able to sit on a steady 80 knots! - in your 60 foot cruiser!! Just need a few oil wells on the home farm, and a following fuel tanker, to keep them fed!!
