I've even seen signs set up in car auction yards, that explain some vehicles in the yard have manual transmissions, and special training may be needed to operate them. I went to pick up a trailer recently from an auction sale, where the trailer was located in a country council yard. I called into the council office, and a pimply 20-something year old office jockey, said he'd show me where it was. But when we got to the yard, one of the other council employees had blocked the trailer in, by parking a 4 tonne Hino truck in front of it, at right angles. I said to the young bloke, "You'll have to move the truck, so I can get the trailer out". He replied, "I don't know how to drive that vehicle". So I had to jump into the Hino and shift it myself. Of course, it took me longer to find the master isolator switch, that the truck driver had turned off, than it did to start it up and move it. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
