nomadpete Posted Sunday at 09:22 PM Posted Sunday at 09:22 PM Waiting for a barge to take us across the river.... Then we had to read all the signs..... The important information was the faded marker pen writing on the grey packing tape at the bottom 2
onetrack Posted Tuesday at 12:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:36 PM But there's no all-black Lincolns out front? 1

facthunter Posted Thursday at 05:42 AM Posted Thursday at 05:42 AM Some riders call them SCOOTS and don't touch mine or you DIE. Nev 1
spacesailor Posted Thursday at 06:04 AM Posted Thursday at 06:04 AM VESPA Italian for Wasp . It is the sound they made . Designed & made for ' Piaggio factory ' commuting. Very large factories in Europe. spacesailor PS. : our old vespers are now worth a $ 8 or more thousand dollars. As all , were 150 GT 1
Litespeed Posted Thursday at 09:00 AM Posted Thursday at 09:00 AM I just went and bought a new to me Zoot scoot.. BMW K1200R A bit on the slow side with only 163hp.. I promise to ride slowly or at least try officer.. A absolute blast to ride and in fantastic condition except rear diff needs new bearings and seals. Not bad after 121, ooo km, far better than constantly replacing chains and sprockets, which it would consume every 20-30,000 km. When new in 2005 it was the fastest naked Bike on the planet, still looks like a new model. One happy rider and yes, you touch my scoot, I use you as shark bait. 2
onetrack Posted Thursday at 09:04 AM Posted Thursday at 09:04 AM You bought a Beemer??? 🙄 Where do we send the sympathy cards??? 😄 1
Litespeed Posted Thursday at 10:21 AM Posted Thursday at 10:21 AM Sympathy for the devil my friend. BMW make the the best big bikes in the world. The smaller ones not so much.. It feels and looks like new, far better condition than me. I have shaved the big grey beard and long silver hair, hopefully they will mistake me for a young hipster.. 1
spacesailor Posted Thursday at 11:09 AM Posted Thursday at 11:09 AM I just looked at a bmw " i3 rex " electric car , it has a two cylinder 600 cc motor to charge the small battery . sold for $ 8500 , ( 2016 ). spacesailor 1

It was a lot of fun to drive. During the time we drove it, I don't think the range-extending motor kicked in at all. A pleasant car to drive with a few interesting quirks. My son even took it to a track day 1 2

facthunter Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM What would a 400KWhr battery be worth? 80K AUD? Nev 1

Nev I just had a quote of $7k for a 16Kwh BYD battery. Of course scaling it up to 400Kwh won't be a linear extrapolation. In reality, your guess is about the same as my guess. What do you need 400Kwh for? 1
nomadpete Posted yesterday at 04:43 AM Posted yesterday at 04:43 AM Meanwhile, back to silly signs, here is one I saw today.... 1

The "You hear?" in my poultry (intended) attempt at humour was meant to be interpreted as urea... Should have said you're ear.. but that would have been worse! 1 1
facthunter Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Poultry is FOWL Language. Urea is EcoBlue. (Not Yellow). Nev
