Then Man got into the act and started dividing the light into segments.

I still think that instead of putting the clock forward for Summer, we should put it back from GMT +10 for Winter.

 

Yes. It means that people south of the NSW/Queensland border ( which is mostly 29 South latitude) might be getting up in the dark, however, from my experience as a policeman in the dormitory suburbs of Sydney that very many traffic accidents involve the blinding effects of the setting Sun being low on the horizon between 4:00 pm and sunset, when most people are returning home. If the clock was put forward in winter, sunset would be around 4:00 so the sun dazzle problem would be lessened.

 

Is it such a horrible thing to be going to and coming from work in the dark? Most of Europe has managed to do so for centuries.
