  1. Jerry, Aussies prove regularly they will vote against their own self interests as well. Stupidity seems universal at times. It's notable right wing nutters that get the most traction often come tour Australia. The yank ones are big on right wing Christian stuff, the poms more right wing everything else. That Buffon Boris just did a speaking- mumbling tour with Tony the mad monk Abbott.
  2. There are companies is UK that do direct replacement kits to convert old Mini models to ev. Includes everything needed.
  3. Use You can make a great fish pie 🥧, with a potato and breadcrumb top. Or trad pastry top. Much better than cottage pie. I mainly eat fish, pork, chicken and lamb. Bored with beef unless it's a high end cut. I find pork mince added to lamb or veal mince adds a lot more flavour and the fat is much healthier than beef, also keeps the meat moist and tender. Most don't realise for example, Italian recipes use pork and veal eg Bolognese sauce does not use beef. The flavour is worlds apart. Favourite pie is a homemade turkey pie perfect from leftover Christmas lunch. I have even cooked whole turkeys just to make pies. Lots of flavour. I wonder what brush turkey tastes like? No I won't kill one to find out.
  4. The irony is the libs in Oz created Macquarie bank, and followed your political model from the Torries. It gave us Howard the coward, then we sent Crosby the political snake to you guys. He helped win you elections and you dumb asses gave him a mbe? You should have taken him to the tower of London. Now your government looks at all the dodgy shit we did under the libs and you have copied it to the max. Hence the offshoring of assylum seekers to the safe haven of Rawanda. Funny how anyone from there will automatically be accepted as at danger and genuinely a refugee and be accepted by the Brittish. Please stop copying our worst of humanity, your making our genocidal maniacs look normal.
  5. It's all good Jerry, chill out mate, the Torries have it all sorted. More awesome honest ads.
  6. Having 20 years in health as a disability specialist, some need more help than others. I expect he will Darwinate shortly, so no drain on the care system.
  7. That's cheating, no open flames allowed in a sewer. But a lot easier to get carbide than sodium.
  8. I think about the poor Indian guys that go and unblock sewers, no ppe, no mask, not even coveralls. Normally done by the " untouchables". Life really can be shit sometimes.
  9. The used oil issue is huge for health of mechanics. From not too bad to a toxic cancerous soup is a quick process. The worst are gearbox and diff oil. A friend is in hospital full of cancer, he used to work for a oil company and they recommended full blood work every six months. A indicator they know its cancerous but Will still refuse to accept liability. Sadly a wonderful blokes days are numbered.
  10. When I say oldies it was in response to Spacey' s earlier comment ie. Let the next generation worry about it. But old can mean anyone who is anti change.
  11. True, And they get very upset when you ask for change after paying $5.
  12. Harvest green and make pickles, then you have a long term supply. We used to vacola bottle excess red ones as stewed tomato and onions or as passata. Roma make the best passata and old school hierloom varieties the best for green.
  13. Just look at the mess England is in after letting the capitalist rapists into the water system. Costs went up and now they have raw sewerage flowing into the ocean. You can thank Macquarie bank for that.
  14. I would have a big veg garden but it's a bit hard when you live on a boat. I buy my green ones direct from a organic grower, soil not hydroponics. It's hard to get green ones any other way.
  15. Winner You get the hydrogen/oxygen bomb 🏆. MythBusters did the throw it into a toilet bowl with water trick to get a reaction. A failure of IQ. It must be flushed into a water pipe to explode. They just had a open toilet bowl and no connection to pipes. The sodium reacts with water and splits the oxygen and hydrogen and makes huge volumes of explosive gas, which is contained in the sewer pipe. As the reaction oxidation accelerates it will self ignite. All that in a underground pipe makes a very powerful bomb 💣. A 1 cm cube is enough to completely destroy a home sewer system. The volume of hydrogen/oxygen gas is considerable. Safer to fill a sewer with acetylene gas. Yes, I have done this as a controlled experiment, on a actual sewered toilet. The house was to be knocked down.
  16. Good point, How did you go? I note a local hero in Mackay moved heaps of boats into mangroves for safety. Last time they just left the storm to destroy them, makes insurance difficult.
  17. Green tomato pickles from a family recipe over 200 years old. Incredible flavour, problem is all the " friends" come calling and want some jars off it. The crap chemical 333's are not real pickled tomato.
  18. Not quite, without dissolved salts in water you will quickly be deficient. The imbalance from water quickly overcomes the bodies ability to draw it from food. Esp in hot weather and physical exertions. That's why athletes need to dose on electrolytes to stop cramping and nerve signal failure. This can include even a heart attack in a otherwise healthy person. It's generally not the heat but exhausting the available salts that's the killer..
  19. And that is exactly the problem. We can't wait for all the oldies to die and leave the mess for our kids. That's a recipe for our grandkids to inherit a life far nastier than anything in the last century. We are literally driving out planet off the cliff as we suck exhaust from a tube.
  20. The biggest issue with distilled water is zero electrolytes and salts. It's not the reason most think, we need them in water to easily keep our blood salt levels so nerves can work. We literally run on electric power, no salts no current, no life. Nerves communication is by a Potassium sodium proton exchange at the dendrites- nerve endings. It's a serious medical issue for some particularly the elderly. It's a major cause of serious falls. Yes you can drink it but not all the time.
  21. All four essential food groups Beer Meat Oil soaked spuds Plant matter
  22. As a former science teacher, all the fun was stolen by budgets and idiots doing dodgy lessons endangering students and even buildings burning down. Public schools don't have the budgets or lab staff to allow old school exciting fun. Private schools are different, some have uni level labs to go with their polo pool. Quick ❓ What explosive 🧨 metal is soft, dull silver, cuts like butter and always stored under oil? It's also toxic but you eat it? Hint myth busters did a story on it and showed a complete lack of imagination and intelligence. For guys with a arsenal and TNT on hand they have no clue.
  23. Lamb shoulder marinated in rosemary and a little garlic and lemon juice, cooked in butter and a little olive oil. Cooked medium rare and fine sliced is heavenly. Juicy, tender and succulent. Less is more with ingredients. Next day is even better and makes a exceptional ploughman's lunch just add real cheese- vintage tasty and a sourdough loaf. A good red wine or red label Peroni and you live a Dolce vita. That's the proper Italian way, with just what grows locally near the lamb. To use mint sauce is a crime against the lamb and taste buds.
  24. Luck yes, but always very very very careful and never made in front of others in case they try and replicate the device. I was very scientific about the whole deal when making bangers. Silly yes, but you make your own luck, just like flying.
  25. Imagination is the real limitation. But I admit to hating the idea of a ev Alfa Romeo, it won't come with a opera under the bonnet. Alfas have a full orchestral symphony under the hood, not a synthetic disco tune. They are also extremely dangerous to licence points.
