Yep, Sadly, I was never able to approve a pneumatic drug dart gun but sure dreamed about it. Star trek style would have been great, maybe even a Fazer set to stun. Now my biggest threat is swimming with sharks, pure bliss and safe....relatively.

This place reminds of my old work... I always felt great going to work, no matter how fucked up I was, the staff and clients/patients were far worse. Naturally entropy ie: from organised to disorganised is the nature of the beast. Or in my case bat shit crazy situations on a daily basis. There is a particular skill of knowing how to lead by getting in amongst it and standing back and taking the aerial view. It can't really be taught, just like wisdom. Notice, I never used the "management" word. It has been so poisoned by modern capitalist theory that it is the enemy of society. I would however suggest some should remember my advice at work.. "Stop griping about shit that you can't change or doesn't really matter and concentrate on what does. So take your bloody pills, and chill the fuck out" Then I would leave the staff meeting and see the clients.

If I had been shoved in a mine to slave away and never run green grass fields- I would be pissed off as well.

Wow, Long time since a penny was spent for the look.

Given almost all are alloy hulled tinnies, it is not a problem. A steel boat is normally only found in commercial big stuff or some yachts in which case some expoxy primer including the rivet holes is needed. I know it's a pain but sure helps prove you own the tinny esp if the spare plate is well hidden. Locally it cost $120 a year to park a tinny/ kayak/ row boat in the council on shore storage racks. No sticker and they can legally take and destroy/ sell your boat. The council controls everything above Highwater mark. This provides no proof of ownership. But a plated boat ie my 13 ft Titanic only cost $45 year for full rego and I can legally park anywhere on water or shoreline/boat dock. The boat is plate is forever after a $80 fee. It is heaps cheaper to do full rego and is far better than an a local council sticker. It's the stickered ones that get stolen not the plated ones. Sure a tiny motor means no rego or licensed but a faster motor and rego is cheaper and my boat and motor are registered nationally and easy to trace for theft. It is paperwork but the cheapest and safest way to go. Come a big storm when boats go missing, I know mine will come back, the water police, Maritime and rescue boats all know it's mine. Actually if mine goes missing they will go look for it. They only have to check the rego or hull plate and bingo, they call my mobile. No plate and I would have no chance of getting it back, no ability to prove ownership. Really the hull plate is the cheapest, best investment you will ever make. My larger vessel, registered internationally as a "ship" also has two of the plates, not ideal as one is riveted to my teak wheel station but not a big deal in the scheme of things. If your worried about the alloy plate and corrosion, it's the least of your worries. PS Nev I don't think it's you that need the pills.

You can bet at least he didn't get the army to wait until he arrived so they could do a photo op of moving a wet couch. That's a Scummo move

Nev, sorry there are no Mercs that heavy unless you go commercial vehicles. The big ones are selling as fast as they import/ convert them. Over 10,000 of the biggies last year and much more projected. Even a new landcrusher is close to 3 tonnes.

Now that's a good idea, Michelle Obama is popular esp with the youth and ethnic voters. Other possibility is Gavin Newsome, the California governor. He is impressive but would be seen by many as just a woke Californian. -
I really expect a lot of those orders will never be filled as demand will collapse after the hangover wears off. The Aussies will never get one as it could not meet our ADR and new euro standards we are taking up. Many US orders will be from queue jumpers hoping to secure a place to sell later for a huge profit. That market will quickly be filled and a lot will be left with trucks they personally did not really want. I expect most have been ordered as speculative investment. Naturally Tesla will use these deposits as interest free finance. At $1000 ? Each that's 2.3 billion.

On a new tack. Today I bought some batteries, only a 8 pack of AAA. Bloody $12.00 and enough packaging for at least 24 instead of 8. A joke of waste that says everything about why the world's gone to shit. Mass package, mass marketing and bugger all product. And yes I had to fight to open the pack as well. Almost as much packing as a new bloody phone.

I'm am with you OME. The "narrative drive/ride/fly" is a live saver. I have used this method my whole life and it's saved me many times. I also call it "piano theory". Unless a piano falls from the sky and hits me in the back of the head, it's my fault for not seeing it coming. No amount of wingeing helps when your mushed or dead. They don't say at the funeral " it's ok, it wasn't his fault, your still a mushed meatbag " That works for any moving machinery, situational awareness is king. Always stay far ahead of the machine, constantly scanning for the unexpected, expected and damn idiots human or animal. That also means drive/ride/fly/sail to the conditions. Peeps who allow others to determine their safety are generally called the corpse.

The really depressing thing is the most important person for the year was considered as a billionaire rock star " Taylor Swift". More important things happened than someone making a billion dollars charging $500 plus for a bloody concert ticket. Time , get your priorities straight.

Nice, had the same at a restaurant this week, wood fired, awesome. Doing the seafood and beer on the marina. Feeding the fish and chilling out. No travel no stress. Even had a visit from a great eastern Egret in full breeding plumage. The oysters were grown here in the port and bloody tasty.

Amazing how much effort they go to for cars I was happy to never own. You can get a nice restored Porsche for similar money. A old Holden is still just a old Holden.

Yes, it's a skill but it's relevance to driver skill development is limited. Nothing beats real world conditions and seat pucker feel. Simulators are good but no comparison to actual driving.

Wakefield was a great track, sadly currently closed for normal operations due to complaints from new residents about noise. Ridiculous, the track was there first and a big economic earner. The decision might have changed by now I hope. I road the track just before it opened, a hoot.
-
Agreed, Also because they are actively arming Israel with shells they know will be used to rain heath on civilians. The same shells that should be going to Ukraine to stop Russia doing that exact thing.
-
This is exactly why it must be real world training on a track and skidpan. No amount of simulation relates to the actual seat of the pants feeling of the real deal. A life time if safety can be taught in a two day course, not just skills but aptitude and attitude of driving. Anyone can blitz a PlayStation car game, but there is no risk and no reality if risk.

I know the answer from experience of my partner, 13 years of cancer . I gave everything, every cent, every effort. I am poor now but rich that she lived longer and was in my life. Something's are more valuable than any number, trinket or asset. How much would I give to save her or a child? Simple, I would give my Life. The most and only valuable thing we have.

Common sense, the actual law and constitutional practice sadly will mean nothing as he has a stacked court that has proven to not care a damn about the rule of law and Juris Prudence. However a plain reading of the case indicates he is ineligible. He does not have to be convicted just shown to have assisted or supported insurrection as per the constitution. I will be a lawyer's shitshow and get very nasty. -
Gusting up to 30 knots in Lemon tree passage. Just gentle really, but tinny has 6" of water in it. Some times it's 18", a bugger to bail out.

That is one damn smart kangaroo. Could he/ she be the perfect driver trainer?, understands the rules and safety better than most. awesomeness

His head is certainly with Trump in his own warped Uranus. The Colorado decision is awesome, other states may follow. Naturally he will appeal to his stacked court, but that may not help.
