As far as damage repair, battery packs are a bonus not liability. To damage the pack will normally mean complete destruction of a ice engine, which means the wreck is almost worthless. The battery pack can be checked, modified, reconfigured into a commercially valuable power system for.a home or boat power system. The system from a write-off telsa is still viable for multiple uses. A ice car written off enough to damage a centrally mounted battery pack is just scrap metal and total loss. A modern taxi Camry squashed to the b pillar still has a hugely valuable pack to harvest. What's left of the rest is just scrap. The economics of ev damaged are far better than any ice car/,truck,/ute. Can you reuse/reconfigure a engine with broken front block? Not a chance. But you can with a battery system. It is a paradigm change

That is a real issue but given the massively fat ice vehicles we buy eg. mainly huge utes and SUVs are the biggest sellers, it's a small issue. Your much more likely to see 2.5 tonnes of useless ute/4wd coming to kill you than a electric vehicle. The average electric car is magnitudes safer to crash into than the average tradie ute esp with wanker bull bar.

Are we antisemitic? Very few, and they seem to pick a target to focus their rage on. The nazi wankers are a great example, they are similar to other nut jobs like the conspiracy nuts who killed two cops and a farmer. Antisemitism is a small beer issue here, anti Muslim is bigger. Note we have only had big terrorism attacks come from white guys in Australia eg, Martin Bryant and the bloke who massacred Kiwi's in the Mosque. Notice, we always catch the brown skinned ones before they attack, but only notice the white guy after he kills? It's white militant hate that seems the biggest problem to me. Mind you, racists are everywhere, it is not just white vs brown. India has a fundamentally racist government and caste system.

Tesla happily use deposits as funding interest free. Look at the sportscar they took deposits and five years later, still no sportscar.

She has done a great job overall. If she did exactly the same, had a dick and was L N P she would be called the best ever and should be PM. But a hobbled pony would be a Melbourne cup winner if you ask the LNP. But party bullshit means she can only do wrong. The taint of corruption does smell though. The most powerful and unaccountable police service, and bullshit law and order auctions are a worry. Overall she has done a good job. Imagine if Campbell Newman ran the place that long, Trump in Queenslan, the new JOH.

"Pickups are tradies vehicles and not ego boosters for soccer mums" The F truck is the biggest seller for over 40 years, most would be ego buyers.

The climate change debate continues.

I have never seen a conservationist campaign to cut old growth forests for paper. In fact they have campaigned for decades to stop it. It's greedy forestry and paper companies assisted by state forestry cutting where it is banned. The courts protect the forest only to have it razed and no penalties worth a damn -
So the investment advice is to buy one then burn down the factory. Be good for everyone

The USA have proven again their cowardness in defending the indefensible. A new war crime has been proposed for the Israeli tactics. It's called Domicide, when you intentionally destroy the homes and infrastructure of a population to make it unviable. Genocide by other means. The entire Gaza strip is the world's largest goal, 99.9 % of the population are innocent and have a life sentence. Hamas are the gang running the inmates. The collective punishment, which is stated Israeli policy, is a war crime.

I can see your point Nev, but it is a funny image. Truth, rarely impedes on humour as long as there is a whisper of reality. The Cybertruck is a absolutely antithesis of a green vehicle. But sadly that is the vision many fools want. Some of its specs and features are impressive, but just like guns I don't want or need one and they should be restricted.

Just when you think a new government might try and solve a problem like housing, they gift their sponsors billions. https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/state/nsw/2023/12/09/rosehill-housing-racings-5b-windfall It public land and we give them a windfall and screw the public. Snafu

Obviously you guys are long past breeding age. Who came first? The Rooster 🐓. No root no egg.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Have we spawned a new human subspecies, Homo sapiens elumbus?

Sometimes I buy fish but prefer to catch it. Catching a large Dhu fish is a wild time. -
To see our parents problems and history for that matter requires insight, perspective and the ability to see others with respect and understanding of circumstances. The Trump's and Murdoch's have this only as a regressive gene and has never been expressed. The ego gene however is even stronger than the delusional gene, both inversely proportional to the emotional intelligence and empathy genes. And that's before we talk about the home environment, another rocket powered ego expander. The day the Fake carrot top wears orange prison clothes will be a great day. Sadly nutjob Trumpists will try and break him out.

Sadly, Liz Cheney is an outlier for her genetics. She missed the greedy psychopathic drive of her father and got the intelligence and compassion of the postman. The Trump's are a great example of inbreeding causing collapse of genetic viability. If he was a Roman Emperor, Donald would be Caligula. The Murdoch's are similar but the old man is Dark lord Palpatine from Starwars. Both are evil in intent. Only one is Batshit crazy.

Ah, the wonders to surprise a sailor on the East coast- the ship wreck coast. Here at Port Stephens, the heads look tame and suitable but when the massive volume of water from the huge system for tidal movement and wind disagree, it gets exciting. ☠️🥳🫡🤮. Having cruised out to discover calm turning to cavernous 20ft drops over the swell, much swearing was heard. The carefully secured crockery, and hot coffee became missiles inside the cabin. I love the fun, but in hindsight my brother didn't appreciate my hysterical laughter. All the good and bad pilots look for in the sky, its all there waiting. Unlike flying, catching local wildlife on water is a bonus, it's called fishing. Catching crabs is always exciting at first. But fishers get to eat them with a partner. Pilots get to report to the medical clinic and ring the hostesses. When I fish 🎏 seeing wildlife, gives me a warm inner glow. And the potential fresh meal. When I fly and see wildlife Infront of me, my chest tightens, my balls freeze solid and remember I forgot the parachute. You eat them, rather than explain the huge whole in the windscreen and mayday call. Much easier to clean blood from filleting on the deck than the cockpit. But the sea whilst a sexy siren, will fuck you up if you turn your back and ignore her. -
Goes to show, we are not our parent's
-
Your right she is actually a really great human and the opposite to her father.
-
That because you have reached a higher level of intelligence and have been rewarded.

I meant a genetic topical cream, apply it, no more hair there. Want hair, apply the antidote cream. Haven't you guys heard, the cost of people having haircuts is to blame for the inflation and interest rates. We should get a $200 billion grant to investigate it. Forget social housing and community. I am sure Peter Dutton will love the idea.

Lovely, nothing like a Tesla lollypop or the Cyber Ute monstrosity.

Designed by a guy, who knew a guy, that knew a guy that makes pizza in the Bronx. When shitfaced one night, he got out the crayons. He figured, like non authentic pizza, you just add more shit to make it better. That is the super hot curry of noxious roadkill in the car world. Overpowering, an assault on the senses, know to cause instant nausea. May cause blindness. Unsafe to experience even at distance. All added features are included to cover up the taste of it. Actually, it is brilliant art though, nothing says more to me about America as a post modernist art installation than that car. In years to come the alien history professors will use it as fundamental turning point for the self extinction of humans. Good design is that serious.
-
Yes but that's a nice looking car. Just like a women, some are worth the effort and pain 😜
-
I think the point I was trying to make is really good design can be both attractive, efficient and inexpensive. The real cost of great design centre to a car maker is miniscule. Almost the marketing postage budget. That is the inherent beauty of great design, it's not just a make product and sell it. It must make you want to buy it, we are emotive animals. Now one wants to be seen in a ugly suit or dress, nor a fugly car. Will you buy the car that looks like a bad acid dream or the pretty one? What about resale? Great design still looks attractive and relevant decades later, the rest are just the result of a lack of imagination and laughed at before crushing. Also if the manufacturer thinks good design is a optional expense, what do they think of quality, safety, reliability? They all cost far more and are easy targets for savings.
