  2. I have dealt with many turkeys like that. The Perth junior market seems to attract and encourage them.

Mining machines are amazing. Ten thousand hours between rebuilds, and they can keep going for a very long time. My ride on mower is clapped out after 700 hours chopping grass.
  7. Log fire here for the last week.
  8. If I am outside and it hails, I hail a taxi.
  9. Nah, it remembered unless you disconnected the battery or reset the system.
  10. My brother and his wife are coming to stay tomorrow. But they are not vaxed so we cannot go out.
  11. My son has a Tesla which maintains its inside temp while parked, by periodically running its electric air con. People warn him that he has left his engine running.

That glossy stuff was also somewhat corrugated and designed to be slippery on any surface without removing anything.
  19. The Chinese are ahead in quantum computing too, so may be able to break US codes soon.
  20. Do you have a museum or will you be opening one?
  21. I had to laugh when I heard that the coal mines in Inner Mongolia have been ordered to increase production by 50%. I have been around mine planning all my adult life and can tell you that an expansion like that takes several years to implement, even if the capital funds are immediately available.

The proposals to use bio-sourced feedstocks for anything substantial are impractical, not just for monoculture problems but for the scale of land area that would be needed. The land would have to be diverted from other production or from natural vegetation.
  23. We had Peeler's Apples here until recently.
