He is the only world leader that I would vote for at present. He is defending his people and ignoring the crap that others are talking about him. We need leaders who will do that. I cannot comprehend how antisemitism has risen again after all we know about its history.

Today I was given a badge for the workers industrial union of Australia, afternoon shift 1985. That is about ten years after I left the union, but it still gave me a warm feeling. Warm that I am no longer working shifts.

I am at a reunion this week. Main topic is the number of colleagues from 50 years ago who are no longer with us. It has shocked me.

I had a conversation in someone else's house a couple of weeks ago. Phone was in my pocket. Then I started getting ads about the topic discussed.

I once came off a motorbike and grazed all my left side. Was a mass of bandages there. I walked into my home and stood with my left side hidden behind the door frame while I explained to SWMBO what had happened, then I stepped out. Ps I don’t count that as a bike accident I just opened the throttle too quickly on gravel from a standing start.

I wasted a couple of hours trying to buy 5/16 x 1 inch bolts. Couldn't get them anywhere. Everyone had that size in set screws. I wanted bolts, with some shank for good location and to avoid side wear in the hole. Eventually I went to Bolts and Fasteners company and was told that you can't get bolts in those small sizes anymore. People just buy set screws and don't know the difference. So that's what I had to do. The world is going to pot.

I was fearful of being conscripted. I sprained my ankle badly and was supposed to strap it but instead I let it collapse repeatedly and went back to the doctor several times to establish history of a weak ankle, which I thought might get me out of it. I fell badly several times. The bad ankle stayed with me all my life. My number was not drawn! Friends fled to NZ. There were lots of consequences. -
