Old Koreelah
Impressive! I thought that Pakistan, being formerly British, drove in the left.

spacesailor
Battle of Agincour," the greatest English victories in the Hundred Years' War. It took place on 25 October 1415 (Saint Crispin's Day)" The french were fully Armored, & the English had RAGS for shoes, and no armour. The french sank into the mud, whilst the English, with lots of rag padding were able to walk on-top of said mud & then KILL the Enemy. The Longbows fired much faster then the French heavy Crossbow, That's my history as recalled.! (I wasn't there so all hearsay) LoL Thats the reason the french king made riding on the Right, just to snub the victorious. spacesailor

spacesailor
AND the French beat the poms to the new country, after the Spaniards, of course' Also beat the English to Canada, as if we didn't know' We English beat both to Claim Australia. Or it would be "Van Diemen's land, with TASSIE, "Anthoonij van Diemenslandt" named by ABEL TASMAN. spacesailor
kgwilson
Sweden used to drive on the left but decided to change to fit in with the rest of Europe. It was called Högertrafikomläggningen meaning Right-Hand Traffic Diversion and happened on the 3rd of September 1967.There was relatively little chaos & the accident rate actually decreased due to the publicity and discipline of Swedes plus the fact that half the cars were already left hand drive.. Canada changed in the 1920s. Most ex British colonies drive on the left. China drives on the right but Macau & Hong Kong now part of China drive on the left. Maybe we should all drive in the middle of the road & solve the global population explosion.
Old Koreelah
Sweden used to drive on the left but decided to change to fit in with the rest of Europe... That was despite an overwhelming number of Swedes voting against the change in a referendum. Sometimes the government knows best.
