red750 Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Prime Minister Anthony Albanese secured 100 million litres of diesel during his recent diplomatic mission to Asia. This amount, equivalent to approximately 570,000 barrels, was purchased from Brunei and South Korea using new federal fuel security powers underwritten by the government. While the Prime Minister also negotiated broader "no surprises" trade agreements with Malaysia and Singapore to ensure continued supply lines, the specific volume of oil confirmed as secured for immediate import was the 100 million litres of diesel. Opposition critics have noted that this quantity represents roughly one day's supply for Australia, given the nation's daily consumption of around 90 million litres. AI-generated answer. randomx Posted yesterday at 05:40 AM Posted yesterday at 05:40 AM (edited) On 17/04/2026 at 9:08 PM, old man emu said: We coulld stop selling canola overseas and turn it into bio-diesel. They'd never do that.' For one, that could show be some sort of initiative, courage, investment and foresight from our Gov. But 2, it'd be helping our people . Couldn't have any of that stuff. PS, use to ran my old jackeroo on all sorts of cooking oils, even cleaned sump oils- prob not great that one l know. But man, some of the stuff l put in that poor thing, never complained once. Don't think we'd wanna try it with a modern diesel though , well yours maybe but not mine 😅 They'd like Canola ok though l'd imagine. Edited yesterday at 05:43 AM by randomx 2

But eh, wouldn't take much notice of any price up and downs just yet, prob just his bs about the opening up. The Chump shyt show shall continue on for awhile yet though is my guess seems as 90% of it is bullshit and the opening was too atm. Edited yesterday at 05:49 AM by randomx

randomx Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Then again , l mean fuel wise l'm not too bothered well not atm anyway- could get worse though that'll hurt. Tell you what else though supermarkets and pretty well everyone else too will be having field days rest of the yr min gauging away on this. Aussies are that behind the ball even the fact prices haven't even come down from Covid yet floats straight over them, media are even slower, Gov even worse. Supermarkets and everyone else ofc know all this they can do what they want no one can work out exactly how much extra things need to cost anyway so eh, lets just double it. Party time. So yeah we'll be paying much more than just fuel for at least this yr probably next to bc just like Covid they'll just settle in leave the prices there, no one will even bother them anyway. Just complain. The whole world adjust to Covid and the Ukr war - less Russian oil , yrs ago. But beginning of that diesel was a 110 near me. lt went up to 220 or something, never in all this time has it ever gone back to 110. lt settled at around 170near me, for 5yrs . Same coffee, food , supermarkets, everything. Edited 2 hours ago by randomx
