red750 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago My son has been on holiday in Thailand with mates for 10 days. He was due to fly home tonight, arriving sometime in the morning. He texted to say his flight had been cancelled. I'm assuming it was a fuel situation. Another text a few minutes ago to say he had been moved to another flight arriving 12 am Sunday. Fingers crossed.

facthunter Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I can't see the connection with the oil refinery which is old and external Factors have been ruled out of involvement with the failure. . Let's be clear. Nev
octave Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Obviously the fire was started by radical leftist EV owners seeking to overthrow the capitalist system....... or a faulty valve. 3

octave Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I believe there was an explosion and fire at this refinery in 1961 (before my time). 2 fatalities and 2 injuries

willedoo Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The premier announced today that the government is in talks with some private companies regarding building a new fuel refinery, most likely in the Gladstone area. A push toward fuel sovereignty is the plan. 1
facthunter Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We still need the crude to refine, but eventually we will have to stop Burning this stuff. Nev
willedoo Posted 25 minutes ago Posted 25 minutes ago We've got plenty of gas and existing gas pipelines going to Gladstone, but oil might have some challenges. Small marginal fields at the moment. Jackson is done and dusted, Moonie not what it used to be and Ballera is gas. Bits of oil here and there, but making it economically feasable is the big issue.
