That's what l reckon , he was an effg cave man still is.

Not that any of the other fools we have including the one in now are much better.

More a matter of which one will do the least amount of damage to what's left of our country these days.

That comparison is a bit odious and inappropriate. The Current Bloke is DEALING with a real crisis not of his Making and he's voted into the Position by the government and is Not under any Leadership threat or challenge and has government by a fair margin, in fact a record for a Long time. Nev

If you are talking of the fuel crisis, the current bloke has been in politics for a long time so he was/is a part of the problem!

I was out of Australia when he was PM, thankfully. Although a mate of mine back in Australia was spitting chips over his performance. I asked who he voted for.. Was the Libs..

He knew what Abbott and his motley crew were like, yet he still voted for them. I told him he couldn't complain - he got exactly what he voted for. Apparently, the press for Labor was worse and Rudd probably didn't do himeself any favours, either.

Put up some facts Siso. . Labor hasn't been in Power the whole time and even when they are in Power the Lib/nats said NO to everything. Do your Homework No one could cover what has recently happened in the ME with the Actions of Trump and Netanyahu. There are also MANY Places much Worse off than WE are..  Murdoch and SKY NEVER let up on Albo so reading their stuff is not Likely to inform you  what's really happening,, is it?  Refineries went from six to two under the Libs and storage is done by refineries and costs MONEY   so who would want to subsidise that and cop the BS  from the Media. I didn't mention who was in power! You must be feeling guilty. The whole system has been sub par for many years. I know you think the current bloke can do no wrong but they have had 5 years to repair the damage previous governments have done, but nothing has happened. He said nothing in his public address and wasted everyones time. He, they are no better than any other politician of recent times.  I would love to see Albo and Bowen admit we need more processing of fossil fuels in Australia but it won't happen.

We had rationing In the War. Maybe we haven't seen anything yet. The ME is affecting the entire world Not just us and WE didn't cause it.  and as I've said there's Plenty Much worse off.    Nev

Some people think a lot of things. It's easy to be wise AFTER an event. This situation is far from stable because Powerful People don't want the Hostilities to stop. May they BURN in Hell.  Nev

Talking of wasting taxpayer dollars, how does the government justify spending $20M on an advertising campaign to tell us to drive sedately to conserve fuel. $20M is enough to give every licenced driver near on $1m each. How many people are curtailing unecessary travel due to the price of fuel? At least 91 Octane is only $2.15 at the servo I go to.

I like to drive and ride fast.. It is something that is tolerated here where it is relatively safe; i.e. motoways or dual carriage motorways where the traffic isn;'t too bad. The limit on both is 70mph (c. 110kph), but when I leave for London at 3:30am, I hover around the 80mph (c. 130kph) mark and pass the same police in the same spot with the same gun and they never come after me. However, drive dangerously, even when under the limit, and they guve you extremely short shrift.

But, I do know when I drive or ride faster, the increase in fuel usage is noticeable. It is usied mostly to push the air out of the way, and the square rule kicks in.

Amazoing how many people have slowed down since fuel prices have gone up.

I miss my old 6 cylinder 4 litre Fairlane; it ran on the smell of an oily rag and rivalled a lot of 4 cylinder cars for economy. Only because it was low reving. It used to do 1850 rpm at 100 k/hr, and 2150 at 110 k/hr. My little Rodeo with the turbo 4 cylinder diesel does 3000 rpm at 100 k/hr. The Fairlane was only economical if you drove it like an old bloke. A young bloke with a heavy foot could make it drink a bit.

What you mean the fuel thing, that's nothin it's only one thing and they've had plenty of time in now to better our fuel situation long ago. Any idiot leaving their country with only a mth or two supply at any time is useless.

He's destroying our housing for yrs to come and so our young people and family, costs of living, destroying small business, destroying all business. We have more millionaires [business men] leaving our country in the last few yrs than ever in history. He's destroying what was left of any culture we had and Australianism with his immigration which is changing "everything" to a huge degree, so many things, for maybe decades to come, maybe forever.

Taxing us into oblivion - and that's only a few of the top of my head half asleep, still need another coffee  or 2 yet.

But what would the other fools do- l hate to think. Always the same problem, who's gonna be the least worst , wreck or destroy what other areas of the place less even if they do fix another ?

As much as l really couldn't stand the guy either but Dutton did at least have good ideas on all this stuff above and sounded very concerned about all that and he made his money buying renovating and selling houses from the ground up. So he talked anyway, of fixing our housing and young people, small business, had real ideas - well it sounded, it talked ! Very concerned about immigration, other stuff too.

What would he really have done, God knows and at what price and in what else got the chop instead, God knows there too.

Just sayin really bc as l said couldn't stand the guy and in other ways he was literally dangerous and l know even if he did get in and fixed those things, we'd pay big in other ways, l know. But those very things are destroying our country right now by these guys.

As usual though, the only choices we ever have, which evil you wanna gamble on for the basics of any country so important to it's people.

Sounds like a real rave.  Check on what is really being done and be thankful. Borneo has plenty of Oil and isn't far  away. They are doing something about what others caused.. without any help from the Press or the Opposition who seem to want everything to fail .  Nev

Meanwhile, back in Ukraine....

"Ukrainian forces have successfully taken control of a Russian position using only drones and ground-based robotic systems."

Wars are getting ironically impersonal. Or is that non personnel?

Good.

Maybe in future wars, countries can just have their robots battle it out and not harm any humans.

The side who keeps the most toys wins.
