Contrast Trump with this final speech by Ronald Reagan as president.

Reagan says in that speeech that the USA is unique in the world in that it accepts people from all over the world. Another example of the effects of American parochialism. At the very time he was saying this, in 1989, Australia accepted refugees from eastern bloc countries, Vietnam, Chile, Lebanon, Afghanistan, the Balkans, Somalia and Rwanda as well as Europe and North America.

I know that, you know that, and other members here know that. I was comparing Reagan's attitude to Trump.

You would have to be a Facebook member, but when you view one of those reels then scroll down, you get a whole lot more, many on the same topic. There have been so many reels blasting Trump's totalitarian actions from many commentators, it would not be surprising if, at some time soon, he doesn't attract another bullet. There was also a clip of him with closed eyes and mouth drooping on one side like he was having a stroke. Could we be so lucky?

Ronny RAYGUN was an actor, Probably NANCY wrote it. Nev

He was a B grade actor at his best, but he had a good sense of humour & cracked quite a few good jokes. May of these are on Youtube.

The US Supreme Court has approved Trump's actions on immigration, allowing ICE operatives to arrest and deport people from Southern California based on race and language.

State governors in New York and Chicago have argued against Trump's federalisation of the cities and sending in troops because of the "chaos in the streets." They say that crime is down, murders, car theft, shootings, etc. Trump claims he saw it on TV. "What am I watching on the TV?"   It appears he was probably watching Game of Thrones.

More of Trump's corrupt behaviour:

Trump has granted pardons to his former lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani and a wide array of other people accused of trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, according to the Justice Department’s pardon attorney. The pardons only apply to federal crimes and are primarily symbolic. None of those named on the list are currently facing federal charges, and the pardons cannot shield them from continuing state-level prosecutions.

The proclamation announcing the pardons said they had been issued as a corrective measure to address “a grave national injustice” that took place when the 2020 election went against Mr. Trump and Joseph R. Biden Jr. became the president.

It represented, among other things, the latest effort by Mr. Trump to sustain the lie that the vote count had been rigged against him in 2020 and to rewrite the history of Jan. 6, which he has repeatedly referred to as “a day of love” despite the violence that erupted against scores of police officers protecting the Capitol.
