A great picture of Andromeda,  taken ten years in the making it must be the biggest photo of all .

It loaded for me. Some of the star cluster photos are stunning, but the problem is, they're all "touched up" with color and contrast manipulation. The originals are pretty different to what we're presented with.

Tried again. Took 50 seconds to display a small image. Tried to zoom/enlarge it, 50 seconds till a "Page unresponsive" message displayed.

I'm having problems with my older laptop in that it says that there is no internet connection, while I can easily log on using my newer laptop. While trying to sort out things, I decided to clean up bloated directories of files dating back to 2020. I came across this photo, scanned from an old color slide taken probably 50 years ago. It shows me performing a preflight inspection on a PA-28. The kid behind me is my youngest brother. A couple of years ago, he retired from Police Victoria, with the rank of Detective Superintendent. How time flies.

They walk among us. Just had a consult at Knox Private Hospital. The carpark below has boom gates which are operated by passes with a barcode. This jerk pulls up and waves his exit pass up and down as cars queue behind him. The driver behind him had to get out and show him how to insert the barcode into the large clearly marked reader to open the boom. And he has a driver's licence?

What's the connection? Plenty of people aren't familiar with how these things work. Even finding the way to the Entrance there is a work of great skill. Kudos to the helper.. Nev
