rgmwa Posted July 8 Posted July 8 No, there's a full stop there if you look carefully. It's one of Jerry's shorter posts, but brief and to the point. 1

Jerry_Atrick Posted July 9 Posted July 9 How can you fellas say its wet here. Today at tulla (Crappy phone camera)
facthunter Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Yeah . We arranged it specially for you. If your Plane had gone off the edge of the runway you'd know how wet it's been. Nev 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I would have said bringing some of the good weather with me. As it was, the plane had more lateral movement on landing than I thought normal
facthunter Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Did you notice the Hostess seat appeared to be wobbling? Nev
willedoo Posted October 6 Posted October 6 First storm of the season is on it's way. According to the radar we'll get hammered in about 15 minutes time.
Litespeed Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Good luck for the deluge, hopefully just the right amount. 1

I was hoping for some gentle soaking rain as it's been dry for a while. A big storm deluge on dry soil here causes a lot of erosion. There's just not enough clay colloids in the soil to give it some resistance to water flow. It's mostly decomposed organic matter, nice when damp but powders up in the dry.
Jerry_Atrick Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago We have had the first "real" rain in what seems like months. We are very much in drought here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw2031mevx17o Our local reservoir, Wibleball Lake is doen to 15%. This week is forecast to be mostly wet. But, not the rain that will have too much impact on the state of the reservoir. 1
old man emu Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Its bloody frustrating to see the sky covered with white, puffy cumulus clouds which form during the day and not get a drop of rain from them. It's not summer yet, but my place is Sahara dry. 1
facthunter Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You are situated at a spot where you may not get Rain from any direction. Nev

I was speaking to a friend who lives about 10 kms south of my place. The other night they got about 3mm while I didn't even get humidity! There is a major creek which runs through the southern side of my place. It drains quite a large catchment. I have mentioned before that storms seem to move along the southern bank of the creek, but don't cross over that few hundred metres to moisten my place. Isn't supposed to rain heavily from this coming November?
