red750 Posted Tuesday at 01:10 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:10 AM Jacinta Allan served as the 49th Premier of Victoria and leader of the Victorian Labor Party from 2023 to 2026. Her tenure ended on 28 July 2026 when she resigned ahead of a leadership challenge from her deputy, Ben Carroll. 1
pmccarthy Posted Tuesday at 01:38 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:38 AM Rejoice rejoice. Step 1 of saving our state. Most corrupt government in our history. 1

willedoo Posted Tuesday at 04:13 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:13 AM Not sure if rearranging would help at this stage. They need to start bolting them down for the storm that's going to hit in four months time.
Jerry_Atrick Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM (edited) Her successor has come out throwing punches, announcing a royal commission into corruption in the construction industry. Of course, if he was serious about integrity, with three weeks left of parliament, he could push through legislation to bring transparency to IBAC, in a similar way as the NSW ICAC. It is likely a new Lib government will call a royal commission anyway. But he also has announced a pro business an tougher on crime agenda. Surprisingly similar to Crusafilli (hope I spelt that right). https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07-28/ben-carroll-vic-labor-premier-analysis/106966210?utm_source=abc_news_app&utm_medium=content_shared&utm_campaign=abc_news_app&utm_content=other Edited Tuesday at 06:39 PM by Jerry_Atrick
old man emu Posted Tuesday at 11:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:38 PM Tougher on Crime is always a good clarion call to the electorate, but like all calls be the clarion, it's mostly hot air in the implementation. 1 1
Grumpy Old Nasho Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM He said he won't be a Dan Andrews or a Jacinta Allan ... Crikey, great endorsement for his own party. That won't go down well with far-left Albanese & Co
facthunter Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM I didn't see any reference to Tougher on crime in the Quoted Piece.. . You HAVE to differentiate yourself from the People you replace or the obvious question is Why was it done? Nev

Nev Agree you have to differentiate yourself from the previous pack - I think Kamala Harris learned that the hard way. And I am not saying what he is saying is not welcome.. It is... But I simply pointed out there are simpler ways to bring in one of the things he wants to bring in. And it will be an actual step forward.. What has come of the royal commissions that found damning evidence of misconduct and criminality: Robodebt Veterans Affairs Banking And the plethora of others? willedoo Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM On the positive side, he's only got to hang in another 2,999 days before he gets a statue. 1
red750 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Vic Labor is destructing faster than the Libs. Two ministers have quit effective immediately, leaving not only the Cabinet, but politics entirely. And the Suburban Rail Loop might be cancelled. 1
