Mega-billionaire and premium-grade Trump supporter, Paul Singer, has been identified as the primary beneficiary of the U.S. takeover of Venezuela.

His investment company recently purchased all of the oil assets of Venezuela (oil refineries, terminals, and service stations) for$5.9B, in a "distressed sale", ordered by a Delaware court, after the State-owned Venezuelan oil company defaulted on loan repayments - all due to U.S. sanctions on Venezuelan oil.

The Master of the Delaware court who ordered the sale of the Venezuelan oil assets, is also a major Trump supporter.

If it was anyone else than Trump, you'd say that this was incredible. Trump orders that a person be extracted from his place of residence by the use of military force. Then the person is transported in chains from his home country to another. There the person is taken before a Court in that destination country and accused of the leader of a terrorist organisation. It looks like the person is done for.  However, for the person to be done for, the accusation must be proven. Obviously one thing to be proven is that the organisation at least exists. In a prosecution, every element of the acusation hs to be proven. Don't prove one element and the whole allegation gets thrown out.

In the many indictments brought agains Manduro, the alleged terrorist organisation is mentioned 32. The name of this "organisation" is Cartel del al Soles. Unfortunately for Trump, no such organisation exists. The term was created years ago by the Venexualan media to describe government officials who are corrupted by accepting drug money. It's equivalent in US slang is "on the take". It seems that, despite being a totally horrible person, Manduro will walk away a free man. If that happens, and I were him, I'd make a bee-line to a lawyer's office to commence an action against Trump, the US Government, and every individual soldier involved in his detention, abduction, false imprisonment and malicious prosecution.

Take a look at this video. The stuff about the prosecution starts at time marker 3:30.

Trump won't let Maduro go under any circumstances, for that to happen would be the greatest slap in the face he's ever endured. He'll appoint a "special prosecutor", a specific Trump loyalist, to carry out his bidding. This is a man who has no concern for legalities, conventions, or even Congress. He does what he likes.

Next, it's going to be Greenland. But that will be a totally different kettle of fish that will come back to bite him, if he moves on the country. The Danish PM, Mette Fredrickson, has stated bluntly, (If Trump annexes Greenland) "that's the end of NATO".

You can see what she means. It means all European bases owned and used by the U.S. military and air force will be reclaimed by their respective countries, and U.S. forces stationed at those bases, will be ejected from those countries. America could soon be running out of "friends".

Trump would see that as a good outcome. He doesn't believe in alliances generally, and only has contempt for NATO.

Trump and the U.S. military NEED those NATO bases to be able to operate globally. Losing them would equate to a serious kick in the nuts for Trump, and the U.S. military.

That’s true but Trump’s focus is now on the Western hemisphere and he’s pretty short sighted when it comes to strategic thinking. Hopefully his more level headed military advisors would stop him walking away completely. Even so, his instinct is to reduce his overseas forces and get the NATO countries to make up the shortfall.

Isn't that part of the plan?

The new world order (of bullies), divides the world into a 'western hemisphere' controlled by trump, and a 'eastern hemisphere' that pootin and xi can squabble over.

USA, pootin & xi all wish that all european alliances will dissolve.

No EU. No NATO.

Much easier to get control when they can divide & conquer (economically & militarily)

America Itself is deeply divided and everybody KNOWS Trump cannot be trusted. Trump sees Friends as A burden if HE doesn't CONTROL them. Dictators are easy to deal with. You KILL them OR BUY them.  Ordinary Citizens don't matter a fig. Life is CHEAP for them. Nev
