old man emu Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 This should be in the Funny Video forum, but it is motor vehiocle related. Just another example of AI generated clickbait. As the title suggest, I won't believe it. 1 1
onetrack Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 The internet is full of this kind of time-wasting, vacuous BS, that has exactly zero value. 2
facthunter Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 Waste of time looking at it. Nothing like an EH, eh! .We are swimming in a sea of deep $#!t. We must ALL become Fact Hunters. or we perish. Nev 1 1
facthunter Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 How many of us say "I saw somewhere .............?" We want " Only the Needle has been changed to protect the Record". This stuff is Insidious and dangerous. Goebells would love it. Nev 1

Jerry_Atrick Posted Friday at 10:44 PM Posted Friday at 10:44 PM (edited) "The 2025 Holden Ay"... Ford Grill, Holden on the dash... 260HP petreol/electric engine in a body that looks like it would be blown apart with a powerful engine in it. Gotta love it. red750 Posted Saturday at 02:21 AM Posted Saturday at 02:21 AM Two "L's" on the boot (sorry, trunk). As real as a six legged dog. 1
facthunter Posted Saturday at 03:14 AM Posted Saturday at 03:14 AM It's 3 doors also. Only ONE on the LH drivers side. Pretty $#!t really and hardly worthy of comment, Eh?. Nev 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted Saturday at 06:25 AM Posted Saturday at 06:25 AM Actually, looking at it... it does remind me of a Holden.. The Holden Nova What a pile of crap that thing was!!! 1
facthunter Posted Saturday at 07:45 AM Posted Saturday at 07:45 AM That car was a rebadged Toyota Corolla and by all reports an excellent vehicle. Are you confusing it with the Opel product or the Vauxhall Victa? Nev 1
nomadpete Posted Saturday at 08:37 AM Posted Saturday at 08:37 AM I think this proposed car might be a logical development grown out of the well known Trabant
onetrack Posted Saturday at 09:57 AM Posted Saturday at 09:57 AM (edited) I think Jerry might be getting confused with the Holden Camira or the Holden Captiva. The Camira was bad enough, but the Captiva was worse! (if that's possible!). A mates sister bought a new Camira and on the first week of ownership, the entire dash fell out, into her lap! The Captiva was built by Daewoo, and promptly got nicknamed the Craptiva. But the Holden Nova was simply a rebadged Toyota Corolla, and those little Corollas were one of the best cars ever built. I've seen many of them with 300,000kms on the clock, untouched, and never a stoppage of any kind. Edited Saturday at 09:58 AM by onetrack 2 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted Saturday at 07:28 PM Posted Saturday at 07:28 PM (edited) Sorry.. was a long time ago.. Camira was on my mind in the above post Edited Saturday at 07:28 PM by Jerry_Atrick 1
facthunter Posted Saturday at 11:16 PM Posted Saturday at 11:16 PM I meant Vauxhall Viva. Vauxhall were great before GM took them over. Nev 1

Not exactly a bog standard Viva, but even as a non-car enthusiast,t I found this interesting. My son, who lives in New Zealand hasd a game development company, and their flagship game involves designing cars and engines and running car companies. Their engine and car build software is quite accurate in the real world. Anyhow, about 10 years ago, for advertising, they paid for and organised and paid for the US YouTube channel "smoking tyre" to come to NZ and film interesting local cars. My son organised all of this and also did some of the camera work. I am not sure if anyone will find this interesting, but I, although not a car nut justr love to see ordinary people innovating.
