Geez, you've really been sucking on the Trump Kool-aid bottle, haven't you? What do you think is going to be the next thing to happen? A long-lasting peace plan engineered by Trump, where the Iranians lay down all their arms, and come meekly to the surrender table to sign the surrender document? You're off with the fairies, along with the Tangerine Toddler. He's so full of sh**, it's a wonder they haven't called the portaloo collectors to come and collect him. Edited May 9 by onetrack 1 2 1

So, since Trump is saving the world from the spread of mass killings and nuclear weapons, when can we expect him to make Israel give up their nuclear weapons? 3
nomadpete Posted May 9 Posted May 9 The above was rhetorical. Back to What has Trump done? My big concern is 'What happens next'? Whilst the world focused on 'What has Trump done now', in the background project 2025 has been steadily progressing. What does that mean? Soon, when Trump is gone, how will the US administration proceed, now the old checks and balances are gone? I really have no idea, but from my limited knowledge, I cannot see a silver lining to the cloud of doubt. 1
old man emu Posted May 9 Author Posted May 9 There is so much that Tump's Administration has done that cannot be undone. Take income from tariffs for example. Importers have paid the tariffs and passed those costs onto the wholesalers in the form of higher prices. The wholesalers have passed them on to the retailers, who passed them on to the consumer. How does the consumer recover the money that tariffs added to, say, the meat from Australia in his Macdonald beef pattie? Impossible. The US Treasury has had a massive injection of money that is impossible to return to its rightful owners. Notice that not much has been said about all the social service things like Medicaid and food stamps. The Trump Administration keeps creating situations which get media attention while earlier issues are ignored. I hear that teh UAE has stopped the USA using its military bases for the conflictr with Iran. Guess that's the end of the Golden 747. 1
kgwilson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 All UAE has to do is wait for the right time to activate the self destruct system they left in the aircraft. 2 1

nomadpete Posted May 11 Posted May 11 (edited) Looks like DJT is really going to visit Xi in China. I didn't think he would go. But he is taking his closest beneficiaries with him.... Donald Trump is accompanied by a notable delegation of top US executives during his trip to China. This includes Prominent CEOs:- Name Company Tim CookApple Elon MuskTesla Kelly Ortberg Boeing Jane Fraser Citigroup Others: Executives from Cisco, Meta, Micron, Qualcomm, Mastercard, Visa Impressive lobby list? Maybe don won't get a word in edgewise. Edited May 11 by nomadpete 1
kgwilson Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Impressive from a US perspective but China is way ahead in many technologies now and is creating its own chips. Most Qualcom chips are manufactured in Taiwan now. Most Apple phones are made in China, Teslas that are exported around the world are made in China. I don't know about the others but I reckon Boeing is sourcing parts from China. I wonder id the financial services lot (Citigroup, Mastercard, Visa) are exploring investment from China?

Supposedly on a diplomatic mission, and just look at the 'interests'. Their primary motivation is unlikely to be related to world peace. How many of that bunch can represent the interests of the people of America? Diplomats? Bah! 1

nomadpete Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Are all those billionaires are on the same plane to China? ..... I'd feel for the pilot with all those important people onboard if he detects a incoming missile he will have to make the hardest choice of his life........ hit the countermeasures button or not? 1 1
Marty_d Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) If he had his own ejection seat the choice would be easier. Wouldn't even need the missile. Edited May 12 by Marty_d 1
red750 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Trump, or at least, the Trump organisation, has pulled the plug on Trump Tower Gold Coast. 2 2
Marty_d Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Good. Most Australians wouldn't want anything marked "Trump" over here. 2
nomadpete Posted May 12 Posted May 12 For those sarcastic people who say that donold is incapable of coherent thought..... quote: "I don't think about Americans' financial situations. I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing: We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon," he said. That's coherent, & proof that he does think, especially what what he thinks least of. 1
old man emu Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 If Trump is so concerned about teh sons of Allah having nuclear weapons, why hasn't he taken action against Pakistan? Oh! I forgot. Pakistan doesn't have oil. 1
red750 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 America had a treaty with Iran on nuclear weapons, and Trump scrapped it, purely because it was arranged by Barack Obama. 2 1
old man emu Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 Actually that treaty had a use by date and that date is fast approaching this year. Trump's actions might be his way of "making a deal". On July 14, 2015, the United States and its international negotiating partners reached an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program -The Iran Deal or “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” (JCPOA). Notice that this was an international agreement made by several countries with Iran. Trum likes to claim that it was unilateerally signed by Obama, but that, once again is a false claim. Obama signed as the representative of the USA, a country amongst others which signed. Here's an article about the history of that deal: https://armscontrolcenter.org/the-iran-deal-then-and-now/ 1
