Yep. Just further proof that democracy is failing. All elections are rigged against our most powerful Leaders! Dictators rule! We may as well just let them do so.

Not strong on diplomacy, eh?

Yes, it occured to me that he didn't think that comment through.

Methinks they are letting too many religious zealots into their government.

It has been very quiet on the forums lately. Are we holding our collective breaths for the results?

Hawaii, which would be the last State to close its polling booths, is 21 hours behind Sydney.  At 10:00 am  Wednesday 4/11/26 Sydney time it is 1:00pm Tuesday 3/11/26 Hawaiian time. So we wont see any voteing results until about 9:00pm Wednesday Sydney time.

Exhale and take another deep breath.

I only hold my breath Underwater and when I walk past someone who is vaping or has Farted. Had Men's shed today.  Someone started Talking Politics and even a how to vote card. Not good. Nev

It is ironic that discussing politics should not be a taboo activity. I will admit that one has to be very, very diplomatic when discussing the topic with a person you sense has differing views.

It has come out that the Trump Administration has been working for several months in developing procedures to employ should the Republicans lose both Houses. His minions have been seeking work-arounds so that Trump can control the administration of Government.

Donald Trump was speaking about Donna Arthur, estranged mother of Democratic nominee Amy Acton, who has been charged with killing 3 kittens by leaving them in a hot vehicle. I missed the first part of the conversation but he commented on the poor bringing up of Acton, "not like my mother." Then he looked up and said :thank you,Mum."

The camera switched back to Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. He looked up and repeated, "Thank you,Mum.", then looked down at the floor and said, "You too, Dad."

Well we will be living in interesting times now. Trump will be a lame duck now for 2 years and the Dems will spend all their time and energy going after him. The comment about relious zealots is so true..the Dems are full of them. I think the world will now be in some worse chaos now. The only upside maybe that we come up better against the US currency. Their stock markets are falling a lot now already. The Dems are so far left now driving their party the DSA are to be honest quite evil. The USA will become another clusterf#ck again..worse than it is now. I think though the Presidential election in 2 years time will go back to republican because the populous over will realise they have made a huge mistake...by that time hopefully someone sensible like Rubio will stand for President...Vance is again too much of a religous zealot

The Americans put him in and can also remove Him. He will be  a LAME Duck but He's there for the full term. Kyle, you think he has done a good Job do you? I certainly don't. He's told too many LIES to start with. I don't know how the World can deal with such a LIAR who ignores Democracy and admires  Dictators, but that's a widespread Phenomenon in the USA,  where Making money so frequently over rides ethics. Australia is not the USA, and Dog forbid it ever becomes such a Place. Nev

Rubio will have to do a lot of work to make people forget his dismal performance to date and nobody likes Vance because he's a shape-shifting zealot.

Don't celebrate change too much. Although the election results have come in, those elected will not be sworn in until January next. So it's business as usual until then. Air raid sirens are trumpeting in Iran.

Even though the new crowd won't be sworn in for a while, it looks like a pretty decisive result so a lot of the current Republicans in the House and Senate will start to mentally abandon the leaking Trump ship and may be a bit more willing to stick their heads above the parapet. Mike Johnson's future as Trump's doormat might also be a bit more shaky.

Its no different for the Dems..they also have a lot of dirty deeds to hide...they are all tarred with the same brush except some are outright dangerous in their ethos and thinking.

I think Trump has done a lot of good things but he also is a narcisist and cant control himself certainly at times. He is one of those guys that wants to come into a situation then blow it up and see what happens then make his decisions. I just think the whole country over is rooted. It has way too many religous nutbags way too many gun crazed nutjobs...Its a interesting place to visit but I would certainly never want to live there.

The problem is when the uSA sneezes the whole world gets a cold..this is the major concern I have.

We have enough issues here with th left tards now. Our country is going down the shit chute as well. I just pity my grandkids that they didnt have a chance to grow up in the world that I did.

I think we are probably too far gone now and it will take long after I am dead to even try to fix it.

The problem is the younger generations do not know any bettwe with the failed education system we have now and the socialists have been pretty successfull in filtering into our society.

I just hope I dont live long enough to see the Australia peso as our currency because its well on its way

What are the lot of good thing he has done, exactly.. And what about the lot of ship stuff he has done this time around. I'd be interested in how you square the ledger.

The only good thing I think Trump has done is stop uncontrolled migration across the border. Everything else has been a disaster for the country and the world.

When I think bout waht you said, I begin to get the opinion that the two Parties are like a coin. Each side of the coin is different from the other, but together they make just one coin. Both Parties are antisocialist capitalists. I think that it is just the degree that differs. Neither Party wants to deal with the electoral system, which to most other countries appears to be democratic in name only. Some might not our system, but I'd rather be in this democratic nation than in the USA.

If you mean a very small 'lot', you are probably correct. However the election results don't seem to support that idea of 'a lot' amongst the voters. Normally I would ask the person who made such a claim to produce supporting evidence. However, I'm sick of the shite fight that such requests seem to generate here. Please allow us to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I guess it depends on ow you look at things. If you are Chump, his family or his sponsors (e.g. tech bros), you have done very well indeed and there is a lot to thin he has done well.
