Fortunately, some lower level judges in the U.S. system (mostly State judges, it appears) have been kicking Trumps legal appointments out.

In several cases now, Trump's legal appointees (always chosen by him to prosecute his lawsuits), who have been appointed only because they're Trump loyalists, rather than being appointed on the basis of their legal abilities, and through the normal appointing system - are being rejected as illegally-appointed, and therefore have no power to prosecute cases.

So there's still some hope for the U.S. - but it lies in the States systems, not the Federal systems. All these Trump legal appointees were appointed without Senate confirmation, which is regarded as necessary by the vast majority of the legal fraternity.

Meanwhile, an ICE agent shot and killed an unarmed woman in a car who was just trying to get away from the situation (she wasn't an immigrant as far as I know).

The FBI, whose head Kash Patel is another unqualified Trump appointee, have taken over the investigation and not allowed local law enforcement anywhere near it.

Meanwhile the administration are saying shit like "she was a domestic terrorist trying to kill the ICE agent with her car" despite plenty of mobile phone coverage clearly showing differently.

ICE are the new Brown shirts. And the shit in the oval Office is Hitler.

This sad event is proof of the new faschist usa.

Those ICE 'agents' are heavily armed, are masked (unidentifiable), uncontrolled, and know that they are above the law.

Sounds like the infamous brownshirts.

Each step that usa takes destabilises the world destroys trust in their country.

There's plenty of masked ICE thugs being videoed, beating the crap out of anyone who they select as "the enemy". Talk about 1934 Germany all over again. The ICE operatives are judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one - and J.D. Vance claims they have "absolute immunity" (from prosecution). At least some people are identifying the ICE murderers and calling for them to face punishment.

I see reports that the trump administration has prevented state and county law enforcement and courts from dealing with investigating the case. Witholding evidence. Its for FBI only.

And trump has already told everyone it was clearly self defence by the goon.

The sooner he succumbs to a massive heart attack the better,

So, would you rather have Miller or JD vance or Donold in the gilded oval?

The whole mob looks equally qualified.

From Red's link above....

Trump’s action as the behavior of a leader who “believes in absolute executive power,”

------------------

The current man in the gilded oval has clearly shown no intention of letting state law, federal law, or international law get in his way.

His policy seems to be "I can do whatever I want. So whatcha gunna do about it?"

He told the New York Times in an Oval Office interview yesterday that the only limit on his power is “ my own morality, my own mind”. When asked if he needed to comply with international law, he said “yes, depending on what your definition of international law is. I don’t need international law”.

I had hoped that once Donold won the election, that the toxic division of usa might cool down. I was so wrong about that. Just reading some us news now, and they gave most coverage to vitriolic hate against protesters.

The ICE could do their job without all this theatrical agression. Their job could be done quietly, respecting people, without doing it at gunpoint and with hidden faces. It's clear to me that ICE is designed to frighten and threaten and enrage everyone. But they intentionally stir up the division.

Stoking fear & hate helped DT win the presidency last time.

And yet, their mid term elections are still months away, (if they actually have them). They are winding up the voters a bit early!

How many Aussies still want to ditch our King?

Looking at the failing democracy in usa, I sure don't like going down the path of having a president! It's not working out too well for them!

And yet, their mid term elections are still months away.

And they are working hard to subvert the election:

Heather Honey is an outspoken election denier and the deputy assistant secretary for election integrity in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The Republican National Committee (RNC) has created a new "election integrity" division, with Trump ally and attorney Christina Bobb serving as senior counsel for election integrity.
Harmeet Dhillon, a lawyer involved in challenging the 2020 election results, who now leads the civil rights division of the Justice Department.

Kurt Olsen, an attorney involved in the "Stop the Steal" movement, is a special government employee involved in investigating the 2020 election.

Cleta Mitchell, a prominent conservative lawyer, founded the Election Integrity Network, an activist group that coordinates with individuals like Honey and supports these appointments.

Hans von Spakovsky and J. Christian Adams, who were part of Trump's 2017 Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, continue to promote strict voting regulations through conservative foundations

Some judges have so far stopped other attempts to swing the election in Trump's favour:

There CAN BE BAD KINGS as well. Being a Republic is NOT having a Dictator. It JUST means you don't have Power by Birth. You don't get to VOTE for a King. IF you get a Dictator you don't get a Free and Fair Vote ever again. The FREE vote is the Key.  Nev

New geopolitical events around Venezuela and Greenland have pushed President Donald Trump’s references to Canada as a “51st state” and targeting of Canada with tariffs somewhat into the background.

Still, Canadians continue to protest the current administration’s hostile stance toward their country with significantly lower travel numbers.

In November 2025, the last month for which travel numbers have so far been released, the number of Canadians returning home from trips to the U.S. by plane was down by 19.3%. Car trip returns were also down by 28.6% in the 11th consecutive month of such decreases.

A recent report from the U.S. Travel Association now predicts that the decline in both Canadian and Mexican visitors will cost the U.S. travel industry more than $5.7 billion.
