red750 Posted December 22 Posted December 22 Trump on TV this morning announcing the new Trump class battleships they are about to start building - "The biggest and most powerful ever seen - and we're going to build them fast. We need them now, not in a few years." He is going to instruct the ship builders to put all dividends into new shipyard infrastructure, not bonuses and buybacks. 1
old man emu Posted December 22 Author Posted December 22 The Trump administration is recalling nearly 30 career diplomats from ambassadorial and other senior embassy posts as it moves to reshape the US diplomatic posture abroad with personnel deemed fully supportive of Donald Trump’s “America first” priorities. The people recalled have long careers in diplomacy, but, unfortunately for many, they were appointed by Biden. 2
nomadpete Posted December 23 Posted December 23 I can't wait to see the glittering new "Trump Class" vessels. They will be part of the all new Golden Fleet. i'm sure he is making Mexico pay for the gold plating. tRump's superior intellect will redesign their ugly old vessels. " more closely adhere to Trump’s aesthetic standards. “I’m not a fan of some of the ships you do. I’m a very aesthetic person and I don’t like some of the ships you’re doing aesthetically,” Trump told an assemblage of military brass gathered at Quantico earlier this year. “They say, ‘Oh, it’s stealth.’ I say that’s not stealth. An ugly ship is not necessary in order to say you’re stealth,” he said. Oh, wow. 1 1

onetrack Posted December 23 Posted December 23 I can't wait for Donald to order the U.S. Navy to position every single U.S. Navy ship side by side, so he can play a round of golf across all the decks, without touching any water. Caligula would be proud of him. 1

Someone should remind him that battleships are obsolete. Doesn’t look good for our submarines if the shipyards are now going to be busy building battleships. Edited December 23 by rgmwa 1
rgmwa Posted December 23 Posted December 23 He said he’s going to be personally involved in designing them because he’a a ‘very aesthetic person’ and he doesn’t like the current flat sided shapes used for stealth reasons. That tells you all you need to know. There are a few other problems - there’s no money allocated for their design and construction, the shipyards don’t have the capacity, and the two and a half years he says it will take to build each ship is totally unrealistic. Every warship they are currently building is at least a year behind schedule. 1
red750 Posted December 23 Posted December 23 No. He said submarines are the most dangerous and powerful weapons and he wants the production speeded up. 1
old man emu Posted December 23 Author Posted December 23 Eighty years ago they could knock out a Liberty ship in 42 days! The quickest build was 4 days, but that was a planned set up where all the sub assemblies were made before the start of the effort and connected as required. It was a morale-boosting effort, similar to the ones where they built bombers from scratch in 24 hours. 2

onetrack Posted Tuesday at 09:31 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:31 AM First - he's going to have to build a giant sewerage ship, to carry away all the s*** that comes out of his mouth. Just wait, tomorrow the battleships will be forgotten, and some other totally unbelievable BS idea, will take their place. 1 2

red750 Posted Tuesday at 01:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:38 PM Some of the reply comments: Lou Black So. Trump will be involved with designing them? To use a Ukrainian joke, they will eventually be recommissioned as submarine class Gary Mckeating Being British and we call farts "trumps". This makes me happy Gus Peterson Does it stall out and go to sleep in the middle of an engagement? Or, before it even gets to said engagement, develop a case for deferment via rudder spurs? Patty Redeker He was probably playing battleship and someone sunk his….. Kathryn Luchsinger $20 bet there will be a USS Trump, USS Melania, USS Kirk, USS Vance.....etc 2
onetrack Posted Tuesday at 01:49 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:49 PM And the Trump-class Navy ships will be known for spewing out nasty toxic products. They will turn on their own men, and eliminate them. Finally, they will make a lot of noise, and essentially do nothing. 1 1
rgmwa Posted Tuesday at 02:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:35 PM People say they will be the best looking battleships ever built. Like nothing ever seen before. Not even close. 2 2
facthunter Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Trump needs an aesthetic treatment. He's NOT a CLASS act. He's an UNCOUTH BARBARIAN PLUS. Nev 2
red750 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago On Facebook today. CALL TO ACTIVISM ·· 🚨READ THIS BEFORE IT DISAPPEARS. RUBIO’S CAREER AT RISK AS TRUMP UNDERMINED GLOBALLY Marco Rubio knew exactly what the United States promised Ukraine. That’s why he hoped this clip would stay buried. As Volodymyr Zelenskyy visits Washington and is met with hostility instead of solidarity, and forced peace terms that could have been written by the Kremlin itself - one truth keeps resurfacing: the United States made Ukraine a promise - and Donald Trump is now undermining it on the world stage. At the time, Marco Rubio was a sitting U.S. senator, speaking on the record - not speculating, not guessing. His fiery speech about why America must defend Ukraine was powerful: After the Soviet Union collapsed, Ukraine was left with the third-largest nuclear arsenal on Earth - tactical and strategic weapons capable of reshaping global power. Instead of keeping them, Ukraine signed a 1994 agreement with the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia. The deal was clear: Ukraine gives up its nuclear weapons. In return, United States and the UK would assure its defense. Ukraine kept its word. They dismantled the arsenal. Twenty years later, one of the countries that signed that agreement didn’t just walk away. It invaded Ukraine. Rubio warned this betrayal would echo far beyond Europe. He explained that countries like South Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia were watching - being told the same thing Ukraine was told: don’t pursue nuclear weapons. Trust us. We’ll protect you. And then he asked the question that now hangs over American credibility: If Ukraine gave up its nukes and still got invaded, why would any country ever trust U.S. security guarantees again? Here’s the part Rubio can’t escape. He understood the consequences. He articulated them clearly. He warned the world. Now Trump undercuts allies, weakens NATO, and treats Ukraine like an inconvenience instead of a frontline partner - undermining America’s credibility in real time. That’s why Rubio’s past isn’t just awkward. It’s consequential - and his past words on Ukraine are now a liability in a party run on Trump’s loyalty tests. Because he knows the promise was real. And he knows Trump is breaking it. And here’s the question MAGA never answers - because they can’t: If America’s word meant nothing to Ukraine, why should any ally ever trust the United States ever again? That’s the damage MAGA owns. And that’s the truth they’re desperate to bury. 1
rgmwa Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago That’s obvious dramatic nonsense. I’d be the last person to defend MAGA or Rubio but Crimea was invaded when the Democrats were in power and the US did practically nothing. Trump has made things a lot worse for Ukraine than they probably would have been under Kamala Harris but the problems pre-date both Rubio and MAGA.
