The 6 given starting letters, R, S, T, L, N. E, appear in the lower left corner. If any of those letters are in the puzzle, they are turned on by the hostess. The contestant then selects their 4 letters, Again, the correct letters are turned on. Based on the displayed letters on the puzzle board, the contestant has to guess the puzzle in 10 seconds to win the prize. 1

But there are other letters which appear to have no purpose and could be omitted without changing the word. eg. P in Psychology. 1

But that's not the biggest list. Merriam-Webster Scrabble lists: Words That Start With KN: 233 Words | Scrabble® Word Finder Words that start with KN: knap, knar, knee, knew, knit, knob, knop, knot, know, knur, etc. Merriam-Webster Dictionary lists 387 words that start with KN Knife, kneel, kneeling. knack. knackers, knackery, knead, knowledge, to name a few. 1
