Here's what I think is a scam, on Facebook. They post what is supposed to be a test with the catchline "Only those with perfect vision will find the odd number", and paste a panel like this. (I highlighted the odd numbers.) They say they are offering huge prizes, in this case a tiny house and $70,000 cash. One prize has been won, 5 more to be won. That in itself is red flag No. 1. Who gives away that much on such a slim pretext. Anyway, I answered for a laugh, saying I found four different numbers, and listed them. Within half an hour I received a personal message saying "Congratulations, you are a lucky winner of a tiny house and $70,000." I texted back, "I live in Australia, How do I claim my prize?" They replied "Advise details of your Walmart membership and we will credit the money to it." Red flag No. 2. I texted back "Walmart does not operate in Australia." They replied, "Go online and get an Apple card." Red flag No. 3. I texted, "It's after midnight here. I think this is a scam. Too many red flags." I haven't heard anything else since.

They just about charge a fee for letting you walk through the door. More and more branches are no longer handling cash over the counter. You have to use the ATM. However, they keep removing ATMs, leaving you to use privately operated ATMs, which charge a fee. You can draw cash at a post office, but I think they charge fees as well. Your pension is paid into your bank account by direct deposit. You use your debit card for store purchases, and pay bills by bPay, direct debit or EFT. You can draw a few dollars in cash at the register in major supermarkets, but you must make a purchase to do so. Some accounts are charged a fee for these withdrawals, but the CBA has a specific type of account for pensioners which is exempt from that fee. Like you say, major scammers.

An Aussie bank customer has been left outraged after they were charged $7.50 to withdraw their own cash at an ATM in Queensland. A photo of the whopping fee at a NAB branch in Townsville was shared to social media on Sunday, with hundreds of Aussies slamming the charge. Meanwhile, Bendigo Bank has quietly introduced a fee for customers wanting to withdraw money from branches. Australia's sixth-largest bank will now charge $2.50 for over-the-counter branch withdrawals.

There was a major firebombing in Nunawading in the early hours of New Years Day. It was a Forty Winks bedding store. Look at the signage on the top left of the building. I wonder how their insurance claim will go.

What about their attack on Heston Russell and their admission that video of civillians being shot in Afghanistan was doctored.

A guy was in a bar where he saw another guyn with a tiny head. He saked the other guy, "What happened?" The guy with the tiny head said, "I was a pilot during the war, and was shot down over the ocean, but made it to an island where I was marooned for six months. One day, a mermaid swam up and said, I will grant you three wishes. What is your first wish? "I would really like to be rescued." "Granted. A boat will be here to pick you up tomorrow." "For my second wish, I would like sufficient money to live comfortably for the rest of my life." "Granted. Invest early in these three companies, and you'll make all the money you want. Now for your last wish?" "I've been marooned here for a long time. I'd really like to make love to you." "That wish cannot be granted. I am half fish. It would not work out." "Well, how about a little head?"

A guy is travelling through the outback and stops at a pub for a drink. When he enters the pub he sees an old man with a mgnificent beard sitting at the bar. He goes up to him and says, "I really admire your beard. How do you get it to grow so lush?" The old guy leans in to him and says, "I rub honey and chicken shit into it." The traveller says, "What?? Why/" The old man says, "The honey makes it grow, the chicken shit stops me licking my fingers."

Thar can't be right, ask Negative Nev. It's Labor so it must be fine.
-
No Willie. You're not allowed criticise the gov't, federal or Vic. They're Labor. Infallible.
-
To satisfy Negative Nev you have to personally witness everything yourself, then he still wouldn't believe it. Haven't read a newspaper in years, and might as well stick an axe in the TV.

I'm not interested in travel or anything like that, I'm living OK, paying all my bills and saving on the pension. I'm happy the way things are. No need rocking the boat.

Whatever. She doesn't deserve kids. Poor little bygger. Imagine filling out forms Placw of birth? Prison.
-
Oh, I forgot. The news and interviews are all bullsh*t. If you donated an embryo to the IVF bank, how you feel about having your progeny raised in prison by a murderer?

It doesn't have the car, boat and gold bullion of the Qld raffle homes. Houses around here sell quickly. Very few auctions passed in. We live 100m from a secondary college and 1 km from a state primary and a Catholic primary. Buses run past the end of our street. There is no vacant land in the suburb, but land valuation (rates) is around $1m per block as per last rates notice. 95% of buyers are either Asian or Indian.

Housing prices are getting to be a joke. Another McMansion just completed around the corner from us, 200m away, open for display yesterday afternoon, is listed as expecting to go for $2.4 million.

A woman who murdered another woman in front of her 5 year old son, was sentenced to life in prison. She has sought and been granted the right to leave prison for IVF treatment, with the child to be raised in a secure section in prison till it is five years old. Outcries against the granting have been overruled by the Government.
