When you look at just how much money does go into the economy from mining it is not that much as a percentage, and not a lot of tax is paid. Glencore apparently, don't pay any. Most of the companies are foreign owned. You only dig this stuff up once, and just oxidising (burning) it may be a terrible waste. The damage done is not addressed. .Mining nations are 3rd world. Don, the heat that will cause much more activity in cyclones etc is related to the temperature of the oceans where the moisture that gives the systems so much energy, originates.
