I don't hate anyone Bruce (with maybe a few well deserved exceptions) - my point was simply that a school with money to burn can go for their little expeditions anywhere, it's not really reportable or newsworthy - except for dog-whistling Murdoch tabloids.

We don't have annual inspections here either. I think driver education has a lot more to do with safety than the condition of the vehicle. -

I've bolded the appropriate bit. Yes - defense contractors, defense procurement, a chance to get a defense contract. Regardless of the validity or not of the protester's claims, the fact remains that protesters should have been anticipated so the choice of location would have made a difference.
