It was the ' English government ' that killed off the steam automobile . They put a " weight tax " on automobiles . So we had to pay more for that weighty product " water " . Stanley , Doble , Austin 1836 steamcar & lots of others . 100 mph when Ford couldn't make 80 mph . Steam ece : Quieter , faster , & went further than ice for many years . spacesailor

VICTORIA First with their no gas in new housing !, WHY NOT, separate " Grey water from black " , then use the grey water on the garden. ( as those new houses in Kurrajong Sydney ) . Makes Far more sense than putting ' CNG ' bottles outside houses . One of my daughters ( up north ) are on ' bottled gas & lots here in Sydney are on bottled gas too . spacesailor

Mitsubishi are well known to lose the space behind the cab, ,when it sags under load in the ' tub ' . My Isuzu ' Jackaroo ' had ' up-graded suspension & tyres ', so no problems with it's roobar . When getting hit by at least 5 roos, all at the same time , you get pushed sideways, then the car is lifted off it's wheels when those roo's go under the vehicle, control is not very effective. Why five roo's, that's the number we had to pull off the highway. I have reread this four times due to A I changing words ( roo to room ) spacesailor

I saw one ' person ' taking those posters down & putting them in the bin , whilst I watched he stopped, then restarted after he thought I had moved on . Who gives those ' bill poster's 'the right to deface a person's business property. spacesailor

Not much space in a ' single cab Ute ' . Towing a ' caravan ' . In NZ Always a hold up on the steep hills. ' just another " dub-dub " !. Until We got that " Holden Commadore, with it's crash 1st gear ! . Then it was a stop-start queue. spacesailor

DO NOT ! USE SOLVENTS for cleaning skin . It let's the nasties get deeper into the ' subcutaneous dermis . Use any hand cream , it gathers the harmful ingredients up , to be washed away . ( even soft epoxy ). One dose of " Dermatitis " will make you SHOUT it at your friends. spacesailor

One thing " good " about that " roobar " . hit a medium sized object , With a standard vehicle , and chances are very high the radiator gets pushed back into the cooling fan . So no coolant , you won't get home . No worries on those ' rural dirt ' roads , someone will offer to tow you somewhere! . IF ANYONE IS PASSING , that particular area , at that needed time . AND , YOU ARE NOT DOWN IN THE BUSH , out of site . ( as in my case ( knocked off the road into a tree .)) . spacesailor

Personal experience , Only hit roos on one trip . I hit one at the start .' Good bullbar ' ,so checked it's pouch, & that it was deceased. Between Gundawindi & Mitchell Queensland. No problems , Birdsville, down that Birdsville track , to Lyndhurst, And back up the Strzelecki track, to Cameron's Corner ,back to Burke were that evening , we had a mob of Kangaroos jump into the gleam of our headlights. Pushed that ' roobar back into the bonnet and the two mudguards, knocked us off the road into a tree ' backwards ' damaging the rear door. BUT THAT ' ROOBAR 'did it's work , and we drove on " unhappily " . Lucky was only doing 80 in a 120 kph area of Mitchell highway . spacesailor

Over regulation . LiCENCES ! TAKE your ' aircraft radio licence ' , simple & straight forward. Maybe , but " illegal " to use on the ground or sitting in your boat .without a written ' exemption ' for a particular event . The same with ' marine radio licence ' illegal to use if marooned on a dessert island. Security radio , more bureaucratic tricks to get more revenue for each. & every frequency , They Will , expect another licence to be paid for on each part of the radio spectrum . spacesailor
