My grandfather was shot in the head , witnesses said , '' dead ' killed in action '' . Luckily no one stolen his boots etc., the Russian medic did a check , and shipped him, compleat with rifle & damaged helmet. ( to Russia ) He survived & had a " silver plate " for the bone that was damaged . Good job lthe English medic didn't get in first . His wife had remarried on receipt of the death certificate. ( Away for two & a half years ) But that's another story . LoL spacesailor -

That , excessive fuel cost is mellowed by the bed in the back .LoL Two tanks of fuel at $ 2.00 litre , is less , than a motel bed at $ 350 a night . if there is an available place to stay . From Burke to Cameron's Corner, ( Tibooburra ) , one & only pub accommodation is Wanarring town . ( they sell fuel ) . OR TRAVEL VIA BROKEN HILL. ( two extra tanks of fuel ) . spacesailor

I can't understand !. How to work out if 10 litres of gas will get me safely home @ 14 litres per 100 kilometres. ( how far 10 litres will last ). Miles per gallon , seemed at easier to calculate how far a galllon would last . spacesailor

My O.D.B. reader was my grandsons work gear ' when he was a mechanic . He upgraded to the latest one before changing occupations. They just don't contain all those codes. You have to get the codes off thr internet . spacesailor

A lot of ' upper class ' English houses have cellars to keep meat as well as wine cool . Also , there's a grate outside on the front of the house for ' coal delivery ' . No use being cooled in an English winter . LoL. spacesailor ,

We ' had ' one once , in the IGA shop , but the mess left behind . was atrocious. Reject bottles & cans, cardboard boxes & plastic bags ( used to carry said containers) everywhere. It was so bad the rubbish got under their customers cars . So it was removed " never to be seen again " . spacesailor

Build quality of production line vehicles is only as good as the ' monkey ' that puts the nuts on , & the number of spot-welds . The UK cars all had that same problem for too many years ,we all blamed the car maker , But when the worker doesn't get enough time to put 5 nut on each wheel , of only manager's three ' spot welds out of five . All due to " time & motion " personal cutting their work time , hence moneys. Lucas electrical. BMC and ROOTES group . All went bad . spacesailor
