The death penalty rearly does stop the hard-core criminal.

Three strikes and your gone, Or is it just another jail term again.

If its found a mistake Has been made. Oops TOO BAD.

One in the paper this week, Man got off with murder, and has killed again, Smack hi hand harder this time !.

Prison of the future will be at home. No cost to the taxpayer except for the non-removable bracelets which monitor your whereabouts, activity and motion. The AI controlling it gives you warnings if you go near your allowable boundaries and electric shocks if you cross them. Make a threatening motion towards your wife? That arm gets a big shock and alerts the local police/corrections.

Actually, with big data being able to predict the likely behaviour of the criminal, corrections will probably be run by Google instead of Cerco.

You're right Nev - the worst thing you can do to a young criminal is put him in with even worse ones.

...and there are plenty who have recently been found innocent, after decades in prison.

DNA evidence found many on death row are innocent. Unfortunately many have already been to the electric chair. For them it's too late. Nev

But that's all right, Nev. To paraphrase the murderous Red commissar Strelnikov in Dr. Zhivago: "A village rebels, a village is burned- even if it's the wrong one, a point is made."
