There’s a lot of slave labour involved working for yourself, especially when you have other people. good news to hear somebody does better than the 11 to 13 I usually get back on a power hit, which is same as your system7 I think. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Watching dash cams Australia is a wake up. There are so many f#$kwits on our roads. I don’t know if it’s drugs or dumbness causing wrong side driving on roundabouts, double lines etc. when I learnt to drive in the army, the instructors drummed into us drive like everyone else is a d!ckhead trying to kill us. it has stood well for me so far, besides a few poles and gates I have backed into slowly, I have only had 1 traffic accident. I gave way to a semi, even though I didn’t have to so he could turn into the side road easier, and he run straight over the bonnet of the falcon I borrowed, because my charger would start in the cold morning. It was in Kalgoorlie and I had just finished cleaning the depot where he worked before everyone got in.

I witnessed a bloke walking around in the shopping centre in Tamworth on the weekend wearing a MAGA hat proudly. His guts was overhanging his trackpants, windcheater was too short to cover it up, and thongs on at one of the eatery's there, I felt like asking "how's that going for you". I didn't hear him speak so am not sure if he was from here or there, but looked like your typical MAGA supporter when they gather on the news reels. A teacher from my daughters school was asked to leave after wearing MAGA gear to school and telling the kids wow great DT is. Too many parents were not happy about his message.

That was a good bit of Aussie humour, its a shame some people don't know how to take it.

The Significance of the 4th of July in Australian History

My old boss in Carnarvon told me when he was a big asparagus grower, woolies would dictate the price and say we had a special so the price is less. He told them to shove it, he didn’t offer the special. The cost didn’t change to grow and harvest. All of that crop was hand labour. I noticed on tv a year or so ago, labour was all imported from islands and Asia in Victoria where they grow asparagus. -

Peter Russell Clarke has passed at 89 years, I grew up watching come and get it in the afternoons. I believe he was one of our first tv chefs. -
If we can have a positive about trump, it would be every day that passes is closer to the end of his days. you can’t beat the reaper no matter how much money you have.

Deficiencies in our education systems
ClintonB replied to Jerry_Atrick's topic in General Discussion
I’m always surprised at things we (SWMBO) mention in front of our kids and their partners (27, 25, 23 by 2, 20 and 16 ) and get blank stares in return. We ask “didn’t they teach you that a school”. Answer is usually “no”. i think I was lucky in the 80’s an early 90’s in my schooling. We learnt a large variety of history, English, art subjects. my 16 yo daughter could not get her year 12 subjects of choice last week and was put in ancient history. She has had no exposure to anything about this subject. I was interested in this stuff as a kid and still like watching documentaries about it. If someone ever goes through with buying my workshop that is on the market, I will be completing a booking I made for a Mediterranean cruise of Greece, Italy , France and Spain to see the places I learnt about as a kid. It has to be amazing to stand among structures that are over 2000 years old built by humans that are still standing. heres to hoping. -
Litespeed you might be ont something there, a worn one would give me the aged look I want in there. Hole in hillside is dug out, need a semi to pick up my 40 footer from Tamworth and bring it over.

The last thing they shoulder doing is flattering the clown, it will only inflate his self importance level. maybe they should be looking for that recipe for beef Wellington whilst he is there and serve it for lunch, by accident.

I read it as a teenager, when I finally unpack my library into its new shipping container home I will look for it and maybe have another read of it. i remember it being well written. the amount of books I have to unpack, sort and shelve will be fun. I hope the 40 footer is big enough. Planning on dark wood, a copy chesterfield lounge ( fake leather, price of real scared me) maybe whiskey bar in one corner to sit and enjoy a good read with a glass.

Maybe their civil war is starting, footage of blackhawks dropping weapons and ammo off in the streets. The protests are getting vicious and national guard sent in according to reporting on internet.

I just looked at brain teaser forum, according to last read post I looked at it in May 2024,where the hell has a year gone, i looked at another one without checking dates and thought WTF, yenn and old Korella had posted on it, over 3 years ago. this sucks losing time like this. I’ve got so much to do and it seems like so little time to do it.

Trump is supposedly going to sell the red Tesla Elon gifted him. maybe Elon should hit the self destruct button before that happens. i doubt the twat could even drive, when would he have ever done that for himself.

A 1935 Dodge Coupe pulled up next to me and son in law at Dan Murphy's the other day, I was on full rego plates and they were the old black with white writing NSW ones so it had been on the road for a long time. Nice to see at 90 years young this stuff is still out there. Original cream and Brown 2 tone paint, not hot rodded in the least.

Our buddy Chump was crying on truth social about being called names this morning. he really doesn’t like it. i don’t think he reads our forum, because chump wasn’t mentioned. there were some pretty funny ones in there though.

That guy looks a bit like the guy who walked into the prop on Indiana Jones. that has stuck with me since I was a kid watching it. -

I’m pretty sure Red has done a transcript of a trump rambling. It’s even worse written down than listening to it.
