Sounds like a lock issue, not the ignition switch (which is a separate part attached to the back of the lock). I'd call a locksmith. When I  once had a steering/ignition lock jam, a locksmith pulled it apart and put a new tumbler mechanism into it for about $50. It might be that.

How many years ago was that? I made a couple of phonecalls today. One place (mobile mechanics and electronics) who quoted $700. Called a locksmith and they said bring your key over. My son drove me, and they cut a new key to mfr specs (computer controlled key cutter). They said the old one was pretty worn. Cost me $35.90. They said give that a try, and if that doesn't work, we'll have to come out and replace the key barrel. It didn't work, so they are coming tomorrow. Quote including call-out $350.

  2. Javascript restricts me to download only one file per session. If I am emailed 2 pdf's for example, I have to download one, log out of the session and log back on. The same applies to two or more videos.

To get around this, my normal browser is Brave, but I also have Chrome with Javascript disabled. If I receive an email with multiple attachments, I activate Chrome and download them there.

  3. Here is probably one of the silliest things I have seen. I had a small tetra pack of juice, coins for size comparison.

  4. Right answer, but not the reason. The question says "On reflection".

If you hold a mirror up to each letter, Z is the only one that's different.

Six people died on Saturday after they were stabbed in a terrifying frenzy at Sydney's Bondi Junction Westfield, sending shockwaves across Australia and the rest of the world. Follow here for rolling coverage as police provide updates on the incident and other details are shared.

The heroic shopper dubbed ‘bollard man’ who was filmed standing at the top of an escalator trying to save other shoppers during the chaos on Saturday has been identified as a French tradie.

A viral scene during the Westfield stabbing rampage showed the knifeman walking up an escalator while the previously unknown man, armed with a metal bollard, confronted him and blocked his path.

“This Aussie man took on the armed attacker in Bondi Junction Shopping Centre, Sydney - putting his own safety at risk to save others,” hailed one woman who shared the footage to X.

That man has been identified as French construction worker Silas Despreaux, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

A friend, who had been with him the morning of the attack, told the paper: “He’s OK. It’s a very strange thing for someone… I haven’t had much of a chance to speak to him since, he has been busy with police I think.”

Despreaux has reportedly lived in Sydney for several years, and works for a small, local construction firm.

In preparation for next week’s audition for ‘Cats’, Britanny’s singing teacher has her perform the following sequence in order EACH DAY. What are the next two vowels Britanny must sing?

OA, UEA, EEA, UA, IA, AUA,  ??

More than 36 hours and no takers.

    The answer is UA.

The letters are the vowels in days of the week, MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY. The last day is SUNDAY.

    OK, try this one.

Have a careful think about these letters. On reflection, which is the odd one out?
    W  X  Y  Z

  7. It's kinda funny when you see these posts on Snap-Chat, X, et al, from travellers or expats from USA saying how they don't understand what's going on in Australia. Easter in autumn (fall to them), Christmas in summer, and all sorts of hemispherical references, and how you can arrive before you depart sometimes. Just shows their level or lack thereof, of education.
