Yesterday it was fairly dark at 1700 hrs. so , if that " sparky " was needed, so would a flashlight . My early wee small hour walkabout is usually, to the toilet. pitch-black without a little light . spacesailor

But ! . As usual they don't work when needed . just check their glow ' in the early mornings hours ' . Not a sign of life . Even my old ' radioactive luminous ' watch didn't glow at 3 AM. And the same ' luminous letters ' ( N,S,E,W ) on my expensive compass dropped off , then sank under the dial . But they still glow if given a little sunlight . spacesailor

In the west as on the outback farms , diesel tanks are elevated & don't need electricity. so , you can get fuel if you have the " money " . credit is only for the wealthy that have an account . spacesailor

Someone has to do something . This carnage cannot continue indefinitely. I fear for my kids , when the road toll soars . I have seen trucks with metal to metal brake pads & NO braks on the trailer. I could name two companies in Blacktown who refuse to fix problems , before long distance Trips, sometimes Sydney to Darwin or Perth. Without trailer coupling hoses working. spacesailor

Not quite right . Conscripted Australians were forced to fight in Vietnam. Andrew Peakock, ( minister of the army) announced later , ( the following week ) . " no National Service men , would be required to go to,Vietnam, " those already there would be brought home if they wanted to " . spacesailor

Yes , my relo, who served in the army is now homeless. I don't think I/we will hear anything From him . And don't know how to get in touch. My own younger brother, has disappeared off the face of the world . Ex navy . So I do sympathise with the ex servicemen in Australia. spacesailor
